Bigger crowds - its all about the feel good factor and momentum. Attendance is a big factor for all our teams - its often a direct correlation to how the team is performing. Villa selling out 42K shows that belonging and potential (brought together by a new Management team and new hope and the Doug Ellis farewell tributes - the 'Villa family') That's why we have this thread on the forum too. I get your point in part but our average at Leeds could've been 10K higher over the last few years if we had been playing consistently well. But bigger crowds do give players an extra lift, an extra yard of pace - generally a good thing.

Leeds getting big crowds at home?

Maybe not as consistently as the last 2 years but they've had plenty of big crowds since they got relegated, done them no good at all, look at last season for example.

Albion sold around 3300 for us on Saturday so far. Apparently set to be their biggest away following since the last time they came here 6 years ago. Leeds sold out in a day.

I suppose the prices at Leeds put a few off, especially when you’re dog shit or bang average season after season. For a club with the fanbase they have(Top 6 IMO) , and with the catchment area they basically have to themselves, their crowds should be better, or shall I say could be better. If they go up to the prem, it will be sold out most games in that first season, then depending how they do after that.

Around 1100 sold for Norwich next Tuesday. Not great, but a few factors adding up to what will be our lowest following in this league since we got relegated. It might push 1300, but even that’s lower than the 1600 we took there to a televised midweek game just before Xmas in our first season in the championship.

You could argue that when we've been doing well the "big crowds" haven't materialised and that's what did us no good

Simon Grayson's 2011 team deserved to get 30k+ every week, but rarely did due to prices and Bates and they eventually eventually petered out in 7th place. The last team to get to a Championship playoffs did so whilst playing to an average crowd of 21k. Maybe bigger crowds could've helped them into the top 2?

Even Garry Monk's team of a couple of years ago, 11 points clear of 7th in mid-March, was only getting 27k odd, only the 5th best in the division that year and that was our best average since our first year down (04-05)!

Consistently big crowds can help, half empty stadiums fuel anxiety and the odd bumper crowd makes no difference IMO. Then again look at Cardiff

1,900-2,000 off to Rotherham tomorrow. After our last visit there, things can only get better.

I just realised we have Hull at home next Tuesday not next Saturday, I wonder if they’ll top the 98 we took to them for that Friday night Sky game in 2013 when we we’d already been relegated

Probably won't be far off it, awful football club.

Wouldn’t be surprised.

Reading sold out for us, someone on OTIB worrying that Leeds away next month won’t make general sale at £39 a pop

Hats off to Lancashie police for the noon KO yesterday. 65 Leeds coaches at Blackburn logistical nightmare with no trains. Like the old days with Box vans, transit vans, minibuses, tandems and tri-cycles. The panic of a missed KO brings out the best of dump and run tactics.

Not good that at all. Every club sings Jimmy Saville to Leeds always with a rehearsed rebuke...the usual lowest denomitor chant...but the 'comedic value' in the eyes of the individual and others, if that what it was for, was piss poor and very misplaced.

2700 on our WMP twitter . Doubt that would be exact number though. A few pages back I put a figure that Swansea had sold out, which was taken off their twitter. That may be more accurate .

We've sold 400 for Leeds on Wednesday (£37 + a 3-0 defeat) and 2000 for Millwall on Saturday. Decent effort I'd say
