Fans slating each other on Facebook about this, it's quite funny. Some excuses from some 'fans' for not going:

"Some people can't go as they work Saturdays"
"It's cold"

Honestly, it is embarrassing. I am not going so I won't slate anyone that is but those 2 excuses are terrible. Then you get the usual money ones.

I think we'll still take around 1200, which isn't too bad. Not sure how many we would normally take to your ground?

The first excuse is perfectly valid. I work every Saturday unless I book it off as a holiday but finish with enough time to make it to Oakwell for home games (only just in time for kick off). Saturday away games I've no chance of making unless it's a local derby.

I am not saying that working Saturdays is a myth. It just isn't an excuse for a fan base to take such shit numbers when we are playing well and so are they.

I work some Saturdays and some Sundays.

Football is made for 3pm on a Saturday, that's why I found the Saturday reasoning quite funny.

Don't think you ever really bring more than 1k but I'd have thought with your form you may have fetched 1500k plus. You must have automatic promotion form since the shocking start?

Yeah we are up there, somehow. I was always quietly confident we would do quite well (my £5 bet on play offs after losing 7-1 is looking pretty good). I think where we have been so bad away from home (we won 4 away in 2 years or something tragic) for so long, some fans still don't want to travel; you soon get out the habit of going week in week out once you stop.

But I totally agree, we should be taking 1500 ish to yours. Maybe we will as our website doesn't update very often and we'll get people buying on the day.

No trains running for our match at Norwich, changes and buses required. Absolute shambles this country's train service, most expensive by a mile too.

That trip to Norwich is a shocker.

I went on train last week for our game. Left the house at 7.20am, got home at 11.10pm.

To be fair we were in Norwich for 11.15am so got some beers in, but it's a slog of a journey. Delayed on way back as well so missed connection in Nottingham back to Derby so had a wait there for next one.

Result made it worth it though.

Left the house at 7:20am and were in Norwich less than 4 hours later? Can tell you lot aren’t used to long away trips..

I hate travelling more than 3hours, it also looks like Bristol, also hates travelling around the country, but Norwich seem to enjoy it. Another great following from them.

Agree with Norwich always travel well, and they have some awful places to get to. I suppose living in the midlands and South Yorkshire we do have it easy when it comes to travelling to away games.

Can't imagine there's too many 4 hour trips for you, despite the location? I bet there's not a lot between our trips to East Anglia.

Derby to Norwich is 170 miles and a 3 hour ish journey, Bristol to Derby alone is 140 so including Norwich and Ipswich, all games north of that are.

It's shocking roads for us to norwich and Ipswich, not so much the distance and probably takes the same as it would you even though you are probably 70 miles further. You maybe don't have many 4 hour trips, it's not a very big country we live in but you certainly have far far more travel than the likes of derby or anyone round us.

It’s the same for us heading to Norwich as well, absolute ballache and I’d never consider going any way but on the train.

Anyway, we’ve sold more than we took to Derby for Forest already for Saturday. Not surprising given the recent run.

Trains don't exist for us northerners these days. Virtually never running or late long distance tv games fuck it up too.

Not much better down here, GWR are fucking shite. You’re lucky you have midweek trains back though, unless it’s London we don’t have any so it’s not an option.

Norwich I would agree with are horrible roads, they aren't great roads for us and we're not that far.

To Ipswich though, it's fairly straight forward. A1 and then A14. Simple.

It's still Only about the same distance as London and takes about an hour longer.

From where? Last train from London is 22.20, pushing it wherever the match in London is. Last direct train from Brum is 9pm, any match round Manchester, only realistic train is at 23.50 and takes 1 hour 30min. Sheffield is very very poorly served by trains.

To get round London takes an hour! Well it does for us. Two hours to QPR, Fulham, Brentford

Yes suppose your right, I was basing it on Wembley really as that's the only time I'd ever do a London trip in a car/bus.
