Town centre location initial capacity of 17,5k increasing to 23k if required. Was a thread on this somewhere. No mate I did not, thanks for the info, where are they going, and how big will the ground be.
Everton took the piss down there .
Yes they did. The thing is they told Millwall what they were going to do. Millwall obviously didn’t take it seriously. Everton showed the likes of Leeds and Brum how to do it at Millwall instead of getting wrapped up at London Bridge by being too loud.

That's a strangely low figure given they sold out.
We sold out last year and was given as 200 less than allocatedThat's a strangely low figure given they sold out.

No-one goes to Reading mob handed thinking fucking hell we might meet our match here today. What's the point in any club bringing a "mob" out for a scrap when the only Reading fans you see about in the town centre or around the ground are kids, women and shirters?Cardiff haven't turned up to the Madejski in years, it's nothing new. Back in the Ninian Park days (and before all the red kit shite) they would turn up in huge numbers. Not really the same club anymore.

It's not as if they're walking into the lions den, they've nothing to prove at Reading.
I just find this nonsense a bit odd to be honest. What are you implying when you say that Cardiff don't turn up at Reading, that they've been scared off? There are fixtures fans of that type earmark as ones that could be a bit tasty, other than Oxford I couldn't name another football league club that would be eyeing up Reading away.I'm not saying they were yesterday but back in the day Cardiff always turned up. Best time at the new ground was 2008, they brought 4,000+, police horses on the pitch in front of the away end at full time after Federici scored a last minute equaliser. They always caused a nuisance at Elm Park as well.
After the game, they took minibuses to our pub near Great Knollys (sadly closed now) and we had a row with them, probably 80 on 80. Only club I know of bar West Ham to have done that round there. We went back later in the year with some Chelsea and were completely outnumbered, I doubt you'd get the same welcome nowadays.
Why do you need to mob up with Chelsea?
This is what I mean, how many other clubs do this? Why do you need to mob up with Chelsea?
Bit fucking pathetic if you ask meChelsea have a huge following round here and a lot of their mob are based this way. The youngers always used to have to go with Chelsea back from the 80s onwards as a sort of initiation, I did a few Chelsea aways in the early 90s to places like West Ham or Tottenham.
Close ties and Chelsea always used to turn up for our big local games against QPR or Oxford etc. Not so much the case now as the most of the older heads are banned or don't really turn up anymore.

It's about as tame a football experience as you will ever get mate, I've been to your ground four times and the only trouble I've witnessed was with our fans and police after smashing the buses our fans were put on to bits for whatever reason.
Bit fucking pathetic if you ask me
Experienced plenty never felt the need to mob up with another club, also never ever seen Reading have owt, either home or away. One of those things you would have had to experience first hand to understand. I certainly enjoyed the 90s, you meet some cracking people, have a good laugh up and down the country & get some fantastic stories to tell... (maybe not all of them)
You're having a laugh aren't you? Cardiff fans being scared of travelling to Reading? It's the least intimidating experience on earth.I'm implying exactly that - it's not the same nowadays and Cardiff lost a lot of their older fans through the kit change. I know 1 or 2 Cardiff lads who haven't been in years.
I won't disagree that trouble rarely kicks off at Reading nowadays, although I do hear some accounts from the younger lot who do go now of it kicking off occasionally with QPR, Brentford or Fulham. Can't say for certain as I don't go out much nowadays, last trouble I witnessed was at Fulham (A) in the play-offs and I take my hat off to the younger lads in this age of everybody filming everything and grassing.

I can only imagine the absolute wreckage Fulham and Reading fans caused though, must've been quite some spectacle.
They always have done. Why do you need to mob up with Chelsea?
I don't think it's true anyhow, I just think you've seen a decline in football violence due to the fact that as he mentioned everything is filmed by somebody nowadays so what's the point?Think he means that Cardiff have lost that type of fan since their rebrand.

If he'd have came to Cardiff away when we played them on the Friday night back 3 years ago I'm sure it'd have changed his opinion, there were 70 odd banning orders handed out from that day/night alone.
