To be fair, haddock fans, a 3-0 home defeat always looks much worse than it is, especially when nothing goes right and the team looks like they've been cobbled together from an episode of The Simpsons. We shat 3-0 over Fulham at their posh place a week after they had taken QPR to the cleaners 4-0 a few weeks after QPR had taken us apart at Molineux.

Last season in November we were beaten 5-0 by Derby, 3-0 at home by Forest, 4-0 by Brentford and lost also to Ipswich and Bournemouth. Between the end of October and mid December, we got one point. We were like Bristol City. Yet by the end of the season, we were one goal off getting into the play-offs. Same manager, same team(ish), same fans.

So shit happens on a Tuesday night. You've beaten both Hull and QPR this season, no mean feats. You'll be still up there in May.

I would love to agree with you but the QPR game was the first game of the season, that already feels a life time ago and the Hull victory was 2 months ago and we did our very best to throw that away by conceding an 89th minute equaliser.

Performances since then have been worse than just shit, they have been pathetic. To just roll over and die from the first whistle at home to Preston is inexcusable, that's no disrespect to Preston, we have no right to be beating them but we should at least be giving them a game.

Maybe we're not fucked just yet but it is going to take a hell of a turn around.

You're not fucked, no. There's really not a lot to choose between most of the clubs in this division. One player missing, one tactical decision wrong, one off day and the game is lost. Preston are a decent side and got going last night: you didn't. You should beat Brentford at the weekend. (And Preston should beat Brighton too)

Hope you're right, I don't think you appreciate just how bad we are at the moment though. Our last 8 games have been off days and at this stage I can't see anything other than a Brentford win.
