PLEASE ~~ no unfunny one-liners ~ ~ please contribute with ideas and reasons as to why....

Chelsea are fumbling.
Or not ~ if you think they are on course.

Is it lack of old fashioned "quality" signings?
Lack of investment or interest from the 'benificial owner" as they are that model of support?
Being 'found out' after years, and teams playing crude against crude ?
Too many millionaire players?
Jose no longer spurring them on ~ for what ?
"The richest manager is the one sacked most often" ~~ Jose 2005
Why has the team that walked it last season now be stuttering?
Players~ Terry Costa etc ?
Style now being punished ?

They are all my immediate offers....can you expound on other reasons?

Not seen this before...A Champion side so adrift the following season.

Please do sensible suggestions.

It's pathetic that even when the OP specifically asks for no one liners, he gets two one liners, a GIF and a lame joke about his writing. Fair enough if you don't want to post anything worth reading, but when it's specifically asked for it's ok to not post at all.

It's hard to gauge why Chelsea are struggling though, in my opinion, since it's almost unprescedented in modern football. A part of it is of course that in the same way success breeds success, failure breeds failure. It becomes a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy, but even then it's odd.

There's not much basis for saying that Mourinho has been tactically found out, in my opinion. I haven't seen every game Chelsea have played but I've seen most of the goals, and in general it's down to individual errors that aren't systematical. Most errors made defensively have been in situations the player in question should reasonably be able to handle. Compare that to Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers, for example, where most goals conceded are systematical in the sense that players fail in situations they'll never succeed in.

This doesn't absolve Mourinho of any blame, however. He's famous for his system where everyone does a bit of everything (bar Hazard/Ronaldo in recent years), and it works very well with quality players. Once a specific player isn't up to his specific task it sends a chain reaction through the side in a way it wouldn't in most systems. Therefore Mourinho can't afford favorites in the same way Ferguson could pick underperforming players and still win.

The bottom line, for me, is that Hazard, Ivanovic and Fabregas have started the season extremely poorly. Their mistakes hold no correlation to the system or Mourinho's tactics, so he can't be blamed for them in my opinion. He keeps picking them though, and he either stops doing that or they turn their form around quickly. If he doesn't and they don't, he'll be sacked and that'll be that.

Nothing lame or pathetic about it, it's not easy to understand the points he is trying to make.

Did you sober up enough to make your job interview by the way?

At least I try, you know. Thanks for your input though, can't fault your logic if it's not presented.

The forum truly has hit rock bottom. The criticism of the mods and admins at TFF looks ridiculous in hindsight. We traded whatever we had there for johnnytodd as the main contributor and Whitechapel as a mod.

Fuck it.

Well I think we can all agree this was pretty much spot on. :hypo:

My main thought is... why is no one here really talking about their potential transfer ban?

If they're forced to play and develop the youngsters they already have, then it'd probably do them the world of good.
