Costa is hilarious. He just wants beef with anyone and everyone.

I'm not the one pretending my side are doing OK though, I'm under no illusion
No need to pretend mate, they are doing ok. Your squad couldn't have given them such a tie as that just now thats for sure :D

Getting there, the second half of the season looks very promising.

Same issue as first leg, played well and were better for a lot of it, just lack goals throughout the entire squad currently. Shame, but we all know that's what we're missing. Beating a team of Chelsea's quality is difficult when you don't have any real goalscorers.

Mignolet was also really good tonight. Looks like he's got the confidence back.

Made it far too difficult for ourselves but we're there and that's all that matters.
Aye, you did it to yourselves. :):box:

When you get Sturridge back and if he stays fit, I think you will have a stormer of a second half of the season. All you were missing was a real front man.

Beating a Mourinho team over two legs is not an easy task, i think we held our own against a very strong Chelsea squad. We would have went through had Sturridge been in the squad.

Ah well.

Yeah but we can't rely on Sturridge being fit for the remainder of the season, especially if we progress in UEFA/FA Cup. We need more goals from the likes of Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic etc as well as Borini and Balotelli.

I fell asleep for a bit in injury time but Steven Gerrard and Rickie Lambert are terrible footballers. Get rid of those and Liverpool may start to get a semblance of a team going.

It should be documented in this forum.

"Dear Mario,
In this crazy world we live in, someone you've never heard of or will probably never meet, feels, as a Liverpool fan, that its ok to write to you on an internet page to say welcome. But here I am, and there you are, somewhere, preparing for the Spurs game today.

But I'm writing this with real meaning when I say welcome, because you are now at a club that is different, and a club where the fans genuinely care about their team. Now I'm quite sure every fan of any team would say that, but at Liverpool, you're not just a player, you a Liverpool player and that means you're part of our family. You are now one of us, and you are now family (you're welcome round for tea anytime mate).

Welcome to a bond with a set of fans that will not just sing your name, but look out for you, welcome to a ground where the feeling is different, a sense of history, family and warmth, of times shared and where the outside world and press are invited in but never truly part of it, welcome to a place, a sense of place, a culture that sets us apart from the rest of them.

I've read about your upbringing, it must be very odd to have your everyday shared with millions, your history available for analysis and comment by strangers, and then to be called 'crazy' by these people who haven't a clue. They are the crazy folk, they are the ones who think its ok to write about other people as if they are professional pyschologists, mind readers and judges of character. Not you.

Well, welcome to a club that sets apart from that world. Liverpool is a club that does it differently, where the emotions are heartfelt not invented, the flags are fabric not plastic and the noise deafeningly sincere.

Liverpool's great players have all been special, and different and gifted and marvellous to watch, and all of them acknowledge the club has a special place in their hearts. You are brilliant at your job, wonderful to watch, and you arriving here has made a lot of people excited. You have the gift of creating emotion in men's hearts, that's the real meaning of football, and I hope I speak for all Liverpool fans when I say, have the best time of your life here, have a great career and score lots of goals sure, but really, truly, have a great life whilst at our club."

210 minutes of brilliant football....

...such a shame instead of reporting how good the games were the media seem more focused on getting Costa suspended.

Ye he kicked a few people...so what...It made the game what it was.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Ace. Carte Blanche for Kompany to kick him in the bollocks on Saturday then?

If he wants....won't end well for him though.

Aguero got away with a stamp earlier on this season.....will we see another case of double standards involving Chelsea?

Where's the "welcome home" bit?!

Absolutely top class Liverfoolery though.

They did everything but and had it been anyone but the mighty Courtois in goal (what a keeper he truly is), then they definitely would have had at least a couple in both games.

Delighted with the performances, and it shows that Liverpool despite not being able to get the players the other big four teams can, can still be very competitive and challenge the others.

Courtois was in superb form, it has to be said. So was Mignolet though to be fair to him.

Shit. I somehow missed the beautiful closing line while cutting and pasting.

"In some ways, Mario, welcome home."

It still gives me goosebumps.

I'd love a Costa in our side, for both the scoring & shithousery.
He's like Suarez but just not as good at football. Everyone hates him other than his clubs supporters. A little bit like Terry....and errr Mourinho.

The campaign against us is in full flow.

I'm not arguing about him getting suspended....I just think if you're going to suspend him then you have to suspend Sterling when he blatantly hit that Swansea player. It's one rule for Chelsea and another for everyone else.

The FA don't like Mourinho outing the referees as to what they are, stupid c***, and are doing everything they can possibly do to get him to stop. Twats.

Remy and Drogba more than capable of stepping up so I'm not really that worried.
