Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
If the thread is pondering if there is an issue with racism among Chelsea fans, then a picture of a racist chelsea fan is probably appropriate.

The player in the picture is miles away from the fan so it wasn't sure if he was even looking at him. More points scoring.

My point is pretty clear. You have a cancer in your club. That cancer manifests itself every year. Whether its fans making racist chants, your captain being found guilty of racist remarks, or your fans making racist gestures, or your fans attacking stores, or a groundsman abusing patrice evra, ... you have an issue. It's not a one off. Of course its a minority of fans, but surely one is too many.

This is about the law of attraction, there's a reason your club attracts these types of fans.

There was a lad on twitter (and also in the evening standard) who was on that train and reckons it had nothing to do with race and more to do with the man being a psg fan....again I'm not sure how true that is.

"We're racist & we like it".

Y'know, I've heard Nantes sing that about PSG all the time too.

Chelsea fans trying to defend these racists are disgrace! This is really embarrassing to Chelsea as a football club.

Your point? Bringing up something that was from years ago...and whether Suarez is actually a racist is still debatable...although the t-shirts wasn't a great idea. The current event is 10X worst than this one.

It happened years ago so it doesn't count.:fl: The point is your fans and club defended the indefensible, with great vigor. You still can't admit he did wrong now, even after irrefutible evidence of him admitting saying it. You're the last mob to be condeming others.

This point is complete and utter bullshit, and your post is indicative of the tedious tribalist point-scoring the Suarez/Evra thing descended into, not concern over racial abuse.

By your logic, because you're a fan of a drink-driving, gun-toting,wife-beating sexual harasser you'd better not try to condemn anyone else for drink driving, firearms, domestic violence or any type of sexual abuse. Give the fuck over.

Spare me the pretentious spiel. It's hypocritical as fuck condemning the fans that are equally tribalistic as the rest then, isn't it?

Who cares? We're all hypocrites.

No idea what tribalism has to do in the Chelsea instance, or that we shouldn't condemn their behaviour. Please enlighten me?

Your mob are.

Me posting about Suarez was in retaliation to a Liverpool fan condemning Chelsea fans. He was point scoring about racism and then had the cheek to claim Suarez might be innocent.

And my previous points still stand then.

Impressive that Suarez has now pissed off and he can still derail threads not involving him! That's his true legacy. #YNWA

Not really, it's just a blanket statement.

Well he didn't really leave one at Liverpool apart from dragging the club's name through the dirt. I guess this is one he can be proud of. It's only a matter of time before his and 'pool's name are brought up regarding racism.

Everyone is a little racist—with harmless stereotypes and inane thoughts—regardless of how socially progressive an individual professes to be. Race is a social construct, after all. Then there are the offensive c*** who use racism to put others down and feel better about his/herself. I despise Chelsea, but there are c*** in every fan base. This shouldn't be ammo used to fire at Chelsea.

The obvious doping of their players to prevent injuries, however, should be used to remove them from the football league and eliminate the decade-old brand.

Drag the club's name through dirt? Good one. Don't forget the CL and 65+ million he got us.

Through the dirt.

Well worth it. You got knocked out in the groups and bought dross with the cash you got for him.

Ours have been appalling, admittedly. Still, 5 points ahead of last year's second place team.

Indeed and after having weeks to rest and plan LVG's 'philosophy' where it seems to be stick it up to £27 mill battering-ram Fellaini if things aren't working. The football is slow and pedantic and miserable according to Scholes no less, and you are hanging on to that third place by your fingertips. Even if Liverpool don't get there at the expense of Man Utd, one of Tottenham or So'ton will and Arsenal will finish third. What then happens to the second chosen one? Bring back in Ryan Giggs!?! :fl:

Fucking hell, how did this thread turn into United vs Liverpool?

thespus has it spot on, as usual. As with almost every ugly incident of fandom, it comes down to a half-witted minority. Chelsea probably have more character questions to castigate than most clubs in the Premier League, but this isn't one they should be bashed over the head with.

There are racists in a large number of fan-bases (Arsenal fans have been caught singing anti-semitic chants), the best thing we can do is excommunicate them collectively. Enough point scoring, particularly United and Liverpool point scoring...

The one who was saying the song was about John Terry so that made it ok? Yeah, that was embarrassing.

But no idea how they can claim it has nothing to do with race at all? Best hope the club and the rest of the fanbase deals with this strongly, but it's a deeper issue than just dickhead football fans.
