I do find the comments about her moving a bit odd though, she grew up in a very poor area? Of course she would move, especially in the 1950s when everything is in London. It's still true now, if you get very wealthy you go to London or the home counties.

I don't keep tabs on how often the Gallaghers visit Manchester, but in fairness they don't crowbar in a reference to the place during every fucking interview/TV appearance. Cilla Black traded on being a professional Scouser despite the fact she seemed to have no interest in ever returning to the place.
