Denied a clear goal scoring opportunity,he knew exactly what he was doing.your clutching at straws me thinks. As for the match, first half not much in it but i thought Cov just about deseved to be in front.Second half we were much better and attacked with real intent,in the end Cov just couldn't contain us and we ran out worthy winners.Who needs Hanson, great start to the season.
Yes the fact that he denied a clear goalscoring opportunity isn't relevant though to what I was asking.
Not clutching at straws, there was a lot of debate and some confusion with Cov fans not at the match with regards to what exactly the new laws are and then if they had been applied correctly so I was asking from those who had seen it.

Turnbull grabbed Clarke and pulled him to the floor, it was a clear sending off. I don't know what he was thinking. Cov looked ok but we were poor first half. I think we'd have won 2-1 anyway but the sending off made it easier. Cov just disintegrated.
Thanks, seems a fair decision if he dragged him to the floor. Shame as we sounded comfortable at 1-0

Only disappointment today is the injury to McMahon, out for 4 to 6 weeks. We are having an awful run of injuries at the moment, particularly to defenders

Same here, only a couple of weeks in and we've already got 5 or 6 out with injuries

First half hour I don't think we could've played any worse, we'd had three goal kicks and not touched the ball in the Cov's half, passing was just abysmal, not even schoolboy standard, add in Coventry's great closing down, far greater play and the 1-0 lead was par score. But for them that was it, two completely different teams second half, we totally dominated, Cov took off their main threat, had a man sent off and in the end it was a comfortable win

That first half is probably the worst I've seen us play for at least a good couple of years.

We simply couldn't get through Covs 5 man midfield. The ball wasn't played quick enough, and there was zero movement - it was easy pickings for Coventry.

With that being said, I knew we'd turn it around in the second half. Obviously the red card helped, but intricate play in the final third is was turned the game on its head. Marshall's strike was sublime, and Both pens were clear cut - great movement from Clarke and Cullen to win both.

Overall, It wasn't the best game, but given the number of injuries we have currently, 10 points from the opening four is nothing to turn your nose up at.

Coventry first 30 minutes I thought were excellent the 9 the guy making his debut was a real handful snd we were stretched Allover the park and they fully deserved to go in front, tbh I expected to be on the end of a thumping.

Then either they tired or TM told them to play ten yards further back and stop pressing , but glad to go in only 1-0 down

Game of two halves we came out played in behind and Coventry looked cumbersome and clueless- Mowbray took the new lad off God knows why but we all had a chuckle as Tudgay is gash.

We were far the better side and feel we would've won even with 11 v 11 but Coventry aren't far off if they could control their game management they started like a virgin who had taken home sussanah Reid

4 games in and a couple of tricky ones negotiated , great to se us playing good football too - CTID

Agree with all the Bradford fans here. First 40 mins we were brilliant and could have scored more, our closing down was superb but the last 5 mins of the first half you could tell the tide was turning. Even before the red card they had us defending for our lives and it was pretty much one way traffic in the second half, even if we had 11 they probably would have won.

The capitulation was quite worrying even if we did have 10 men, it could have been any number in the last 20 mins.

I don't think we need to start panicking just yet but we can't go into September with our current squad or it will be a very long season.

I thought the last man wouldn't get sent off if a penalty is given?

The first pen looks a lot softer on TV, from behind the goal there was no question

But pulling someone back isn't attempting to play the ball

It was def a pen from where we were. Good job as I wouldn't have 100% trusted Clarke to score, he took it close to the keeper. He was decent today but looked to constantly touch it round people when there was no need at times.

Shame we bottled it as we were the best team 1st half. Typical city turning up for one half again. Really impressed how Bradford fans really get behind their team.

They didn't bottle it Tommy, they just ran out of steam. As we found out last year, such a high energy game is impossible to keep up at this time of year. As the season progresses they will get stronger and boy will opposing central defenders know it. Am confident the current bottom 2 will finish much higher. Getting behind your team at times of adversity is the only way. Blades fans ought to give that some thought.
