Well that was a lesson in clinical football. Well played Fulham.
Is Cotts stubbornness regarding 532 going to end up costing him his job?
I managed to stay until the end but that was more about being comatosed with boredom tbh.

The squad is the problem for me, not the formation. Well, Cotterill's stubbornness with the likes of Wilbraham doesn't help either.

What would be people's preferred formation/team?

Probably right Jordan but he needs to do something as that was piss poor today. His inability or rather unwillingness to do anything other than the status quo does worry me. It could, genuinely, be his undoing at BCFC.

I hear Freeman had a shocker again.

So I believe that is still ZERO assists this season from our 'creative midfielder' aka overrated waste of space.

Reid needs to start.

They were all pretty poor to be fair TTOCS, Kodjia apart.
Fulham were very good but we were shocking!

Can't be arsed to give the usual match report, as it wouldn't be a bit of a joke seeing as I was only there for 35 minutes.

In summary - the defensive fragilities haven't been sorted. We're a joke at the back, and Frank Fielding is an absolute fucking disgrace. Flint looks shot to bits confidence wise, and Ayling can't be that attacking as centre back, he gets caught out of position when we inevitably lose the ball. Kodjia is ridiculously good.

As for the substitutions, they're a joke. Always has been under Cotterill. I wasn't there - but it took 70 fucking minutes to bring on Cox?! Beyond belief.

They need to take a good look in the mirror and get their shit together, because Fulham really weren't that good. Win Tuesday (which we won't because we always lose to Wolves) or time's up unfortunately Steve.
The only reason Flint looked shot confidence wise was because of that pass he made for the second goal, that obviously did his confidence levels. Everything else (apart from that note about Fielding) i agree with.

The squad is the problem for me, not the formation. Well, Cotterill's stubbornness with the likes of Wilbraham doesn't help either.

Personally I am starting to sway towards using a 4 at the back formation. The back three made some shocking mistakes today, and if we had a flat back four then we could've possibly have recovered, but with 3 at the back when Flint played that poor pass we had no chance.

That first-half was definitely the worst defensive display I've seen for a long time, but really I didn't see anything that special about Fulham TBH. The first two goals were gifts really, but up until the second I thought we were definitely the better team. Then that free-kick went in and then we gifted Fulham another goal. This performance really did show the risks of 3 at the back: if one defender goes too far forward (cough, Ayling, cough) then the other two are screwed. Even when there is 3 at the back there is still so much space to run into, as Reading showed perfectly when they beat us. We played better in the second half, and I will go as far to say of Kodija had a left peg then we could've been back in it, and if we'd have taking our chances we could've actually won. But really it is impossible to say as if we'd have started to take our chances Fulham would more than likely have tore us apart again. And then just to rub the salt in the wounds as I was leaving I said that we'll go and score now, and with my back turned, guess what? Kodija scored. Out of anyone, it was important for Kodija to score as he hasn't scored in a while so that'll make sure his confidence doesn't drop. Talking about a drop of confidence, Bryan looks like he's got no confidence at all. He had another poor display today against Fredericks, who he is probably better than. Freeman, Pack, Ayling and Bennett (seemed to scared to take his man on) also had poor peformances. Wilbz had one of his better games of the season (still not brilliant), Kodija was as bright as ever, Smith was decent, Flint, (apart from his horror pass), Williams, and Fielding did ok (bracing self for JJH raging at me).

On the formations debate, I reckon we could move to a 4-4-1-1, with Reid playing behind Kodija, and dropping Freeman. He was brilliant last season, but this season he hasn't played as well and we really can't afford to have him in the team as it could cost us. Williams and Ayling moved to full-backs as soon as Baker/Moore (whichever one comes back first) comes back from injur

I don't have any answers. I've only seen 3 games this season and those were on a dodgy stream from China. I don't know if its the players, formation, morale or what. All I know is that i'm gutted that we're back here again. 1995, 1999, 2010-13 all over again. Just utterly gutted.

To be dead and buried after 20 minutes in HALF of our home games this season
is IMHO a borderline sackable offense. Seriously, what kind of entertainment is that? How is that going to help us attract fans to the new build next season? Would people pay to watch a crap movie that's over after 20 minutes?

Back in May, we were in the best position we've been in both on and off the pitch since the 1970s. Only this football club could mess things up so spectacularly.

Luke, today was humbling.
They were just streets ahead of us. It was embarrassing. I know they still get parachute money but they were so superior it was a real eye opener.
Cotts has said he won't change yet decent sides have worked out how to beat us at home. They were at training pace in the 2nd half, they were that much better!
A truly chastening day.

And Fulham aren't even one of the divisions better sides...
Agreed, they only looked a little better than Cardiff IMO. I must say they are clinical and very good defensively, but really I think if it wasn't for our errors we probably would've been in it.

The penalty shout at 0-1 was exemplary.
