Sounds like we should be pretty pleased with things going off the radio commentary. I know a lot of people will be quite negative about how it wasn't a great performance from us, and that Orient were poor and a decent team would have beaten them comfortably, and I doubt I could argue that it was actually a good performance, but it does sound like all our debutants had good games and given the form we were on I think we should take positives out of going away and beating a team who have a new manager and an urgent situation because those are the sort of games that can sometimes be harder than hosting a relaxed mid-table team.

For the Orient fans, our commentators pointed out that there was confusion during the warmup as the players came out but nobody came to lead the warmup, but also had a lot of praise for your young lad Miles Judd.

For the first time this season, I actually feel hard done by after losing that. It was a tight game with not many chances, Webb tried to get us to retain the ball better and pass it.

The difference being, Carlisle had Jamie Proctor up front who was excellent and we had Rowan Liburd and a 17 year old kid.

We more than matched Carlisle I thought, but apart from Gavin Massey we are toothless up front, we badly missed Paul McCallum today our 6 yard box poacher. He'd have been on the end of one or two crosses and moves we put together. Our backline has a rickett in it, which is why we find ourselves where we are.

Carlisle clearly the more experienced side with the better players, but they didn't trouble us too often, but like most sides doing well took their chances and were clinical in front of goal. No idea why Proctor made the challenge he did for his second yellow, the ref was a fussy one as well.

Myles Judd is only 17 and has had a difficult start, but slowly he is getting more confidence going into games.

He is prone to mistakes though, which is to be expected because of his age.

Played shite for first 20 or so minutes, then we equalises and changed the formation to 442 and we played much better and deservedly went in front. Jabo missed an absolute sitter at 1-1.

The 2 yellow cards were harsh, for the first Proctor was getting his shirt pulled first which probably contributed to him handballing (if he did), the second one looked a well timed tackle to me but maybe I'll be proved wrong when I see the replay (I doubt it).

We went a bit deep for my liking when down to 10 but orient didn't really threaten to equalise.

Massive win but we'll have to up our game against tougher opponents in the coming weeks.

Proctor was very impressive, as was Liddle, Devitt and Jones when he came on.

Of course they were the better side, but I didn't think they threatened much despite their quality and possession, Carlisle were more clinical in front of goal overall, which is to be expected from a top three side.

We have a very limited team bar one or two (particularly up front) who today gave everything for the first time in about a month, we tried to retain the ball rather than just launching it at every chance.

I thought it wasn't a bad effort from a side second bottom myself against a side who are 3rd myself, it was always going to be an extremely tough ask for our squad to pick anything up from the game today. We are 23rd, so I've got to take that into account when we play better teams!

Ah OK I'll be taking a look myself. Lummy and Phillips didn't go so far as to suggest it shouldn't have been a yellow, but did settle on the conclusion that it was an honest attempt and he got the ball and it could only have been seen as a booking if the referee thought he put too much force and took the man as well, cue criticism of the modern game being too soft.

Went in aggressively with two feet, reckless whether the ball is won or not. Refs are trying to cut out those sort of two footed challenges out. Thats what the ref probably saw from his position.

Still, stupid from Proctor already on a yellow with a picky ref. Players need to keep a clear head.

I've now seen the replay of the first booking. At the time I assumed he'd hand balled it but obviously not. I honestly can't for the life of me see why that's even a free kick never mind a booking. the only foul going on was the shirt pulling from the orient player. If only clubs were allowed to appeal yellow cards!
