On TFF I remember a thread on club songs, anthems and the like. Not chants, but the music they play over the speakers. Or in Pompey's case, that grinds out of the girders up in the roof like a musical platform announcement.

Wolves
Walk out - "This is War" by Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Seconds before start - "Hi Ho Silver Lining" by Jeff Beck
Others - "Black and Gold" by Sam Sparro
Banned by police - "The Liquidator" by Harry J and the All-Stars (because of the lyrics, which is why we always loved playing at Stamford Bridge!)

"This is War" is a odd one. I guess it's because of the naturally passive nature of our teenage support, and the club want to gee up the testosterone a bit.

Drink up thy Zider
is City's anthem, but anything by the Wurzles goes down well TBH.

OK, they're probably seen as a bit of a joke to the rest of the Country....but they're OUR joke!

Hertswolf do you remember that cringeworty goal music we played when Matt Jarvis scored? It was from some cartoon theme song if I remember.

When I first started to going to Molineux I remember us playing 'Simply the best' from Tina Turner fairly often.

The worst music from away grounds is that farmer like sound track played at Derby, or the Tigers 'music' played at Hull.

Isn't goal music banned now?

Steve Bloomers Watching?

Or an actual farm-like sound track? I missed the home game so unsure of what else was played. Bet you were sick to death of our goal music

Not sure what we play now, some sort of gothic tune that breaks into the Tamperer 'Feel It' when the players come out.

Used to be ELO - Mr Bluesky, I bloody loved that.

Reading whenever Sweet Caroline was played was pretty cringeworthy, unless I'm missing something about it.

If you come to our ground I hope you like Swedish House Mafia being played on loop before kick-off.

Spot on.They played it over and over on Monday night but then it's easy for most of our middle class fan base to clap to.Got a feeling they played it after each goal on Monday night. Not sure as i was too busy celebrating. Can't stand it myself.

Scary boyz the Bracknell Massiv. closely followed by the Newbury crew. They stand out though because they always carry their rumble sticks and have face paint on.

Beyond Z Cars we haven't really had one but we've started playing Your Song before the teams come out this season, and we have used a variety of other Elton John songs in the past.

Other than the famous music, there was a tune played at Elland Road before MOT called "Strings For Yasmin" by Tin Tin Out. I always associated it with that excitement before the players come out. There's also "Nightmare" by Brainbug.

Only been used the last two home games (massively over-used) - A bit ridiculous really, they played it before the game, half time, after the game and after every goal... Fans don't want it, but the club are trying to find a song that people can relate to Reading. I suppose it sounding very middle class helps.

Apparently it's because it was the song that our main 106 point season players used to celebrate their achievements.

I don't mind the club trying something different to find an "anthem", but shoving it down our throats five times a game to force us to get used to it is way too far..

Strings for Yasmin is a bit meh, but Nightmare would work for me.

Not really sure what gets played now just before kick off, sound system in our stand it terrible and can't hear over the chanting.

We used to have London Calling as the teams came out, and Hey Jude gets played a lot before the game and at half time.

We've started having Run Boy Run getting played quite a bit as well before the game.

Let's face it, Can You Feel It by Tampa is possibly the worst opening music a team could have... :sl:

Dreams Can Come True by Gabrielle was played pre-match early in Curle's reign, apparently his own choice. Not sure it still gets played though, thankfully.

Valley Floyd Road (Mull of Kintyre) and The Red Red Robin are the main two.

I remember late nineties/early 2000's we used to play Ready to go by Republica, you used to know the teams were in the tunnel when this came on.

We play 'Dance With The Devil' by Cozy Powell followed by 'Welcome To The Jungle' by Guns N' Roses as the teams come out.

Our goal music is 'Chelsea Dagger' by The Fratellis and has been for years.

P.S. 'Dance With The Devil' is a tune and sounds epic before a big game, I wish we used that as the teams come out and scrapped Guns N' Roses which is getting a bit old now.

Derby have announced plans to come out to the song below, but they have changed the chorus to "cuz we champ boys for life…"
