Northampton should be aiming to bounce back to League One, or at least not going for someone whose sole purpose seems to be 'steadying the ship' and keeping them in League Two. They could have been a bit more ambitious and appointed someone like Luke Garrard at Boreham Wood.

Oh and he almost got Notts County to the play offs in L1 and that league is even higher!

How many times have you watched Garrard’s Boreham Wood? One of the best footballing sides in the NL last season and I’d be expecting him to get a job with a FL side before long.

Curle is a stabilising appointment, but it would be a surprise if he turns Northampton into a promotion contender.

It's in the DNA of the club to be dirty cheats, it never changes over the years, regardless of who the manager is.

Interestingly, it was announced that our GK coach, Dan Watson had left the club at around 10 this morning, citing 'personal reasons' and by 5pm Northampton have unveiled him as their new GK coach.

Takes about 3 and a half hours to get from Carlisle to Northampton.
