Do Mansfield have any players left?
Dominic Vose has gone to Wrexham. Understand we and also Kidderminster had interest
Sutton has been massively over rated, he's not that good at all! He wasn't in the team when we came up and hasn't been that often since being in the league. He should be alright back in the conference. So glad we've got rid of all this dead wood.
Amazing that when a player turns down a contract at his club and goes elsewhere it must be because he was offered reduced terms
Sutton/Rhead/Hearn/Beevers have dropped down to this level for a reason.
Talk about clutching at straws, they were deemed good enough to be offered reduced terms to be a 'Squad player' by a inexperienced manager. All apart from Beevers were deemed good enough to be offered a contract at Lge 2 Mansfield
No point in keeping shit players who aren't good enough for the league, which beevers hearn or rhead aren't.Do Mansfield have any players left?
If they were good enough for league football they would have got it.
Or if they wanted a 1 year deal they would have got it, instead they took the security of a two year deal. Your manager thought they was good enough for league football otherwise he would have just released them, not offered them a new contract.

To be fair, there's a lot of players down here good enough to sit on the bench in League 2. Doesn't mean that if they're told that they'd take the offer.
I never said they would, I said Mansfield thought they were good enough for league football whether that's on the bench or not, Conker argues dropping to the conference proves they aren't good enough for league football, which is obviously not the case as they had a league football contract offer on the table. They have just chosen to take the security of a two year contract.

Looks like Mansfield and Newport could be heading back down to the conference again sooner rather than later just going on how many players they are losing. Fairly hefty cutbacks being made it seems?
How does that work when you get a slab of money as part of the TV deal? What do you think it is now?
I understand our budget next season is about £900k.
Rochdale got promoted 2 seasons ago with that (or 1 depending on how you define it).
I'm pleased we gave beevers, rhead and hearn abother season with lower wages, they declined it and went to Lincoln, they can go there, get first team football and be good enough for the conference.
We worried last season because if we returned to this cesspit we would become another macc or Lincoln - similar sized clubs to us and have no chance of ever coming back up.
Thankfully we've offloaded that deadwood to Lincoln and get league standard players in
