our manager stated that he was now in market for higher calibre players for this season,so hopefully this signing is a message of intent.

You're shocked? read the Orient forum their bloody seething!!!

I can understand why they're pissed to be honest. While we're progressing off the field and can offer a decent wage, they are a much bigger club and he was happy there during his loan spell.

As I said before, not sure we needed another central midfielder (that's 5 now), but he's better than what we've gotother than a fully fit Jack Payne IMO.

Now just the two strikers and left back needed... maybe another centre back too.

To be fair joe we really lack pace in midfield,Drury obviously now as he's no spring chicken football wise, and Powell is more guile with no pace .

Rance & Payne are generally more defensive and again have no real pace, and all four could never be classed as box to box midfielders.

A great signing for your lot, he was immense for us from January onwards when he played. Not afraid to get stuck in and break up play and can play a bit as well.

He’s young and a little rash at times, but he has a great will to win.

A week ago he put a message up on his twitter and told us that he was signing for a League club. So for a lot of our fans to see this has led to a lot of frustration and bitterness.

Can only think you’ve offered him a better deal and he’s from South London/Kent as well which probably helped your cause.

Our wage bill is a bit tied in with 21 players already under contract for next season.

He's a player I like. Was superb at Dartford before his move to Norwich and was great against us at Brisbane Road.

Apparently we've offered less or similar to what he was offered, but that's just standard practice for a manager to say things like that!

I can 100% promise you that if it's just compared to the Orient deal Ebbsfleet have offered significantly more, of course there were most likely other offers.

He had a few offers, I would imagine. McMahon did say he's been in talks with him since the beginning of May.

Aldershot fans? We’ve signed Emmanuel Oyeleke. What can we expect?

Good signing, I'd of liked us to have tried for him.

Your fans and Tranmere fans keep saying that about every player that gets signed!

From what I’ve read, seems he’s a decent signing and will hopefully do well for Vale.

The players that have moved from NL to EFL so far are mostly the standouts from the division below. I would imagine a lot of these moves have been in the offing for a while.

Our former manager, John Rudge, who is back at the club in an advisory role has been watching Oyeleke for a while and we contacted him towards the end of last season regarding a move.

Great signing for you. Player of the season for us last season, gutted that he left as he’s the sort of player you build your team around. Played just in front of the back 4, good on the ball and strong, should do well in L2.

In terms of his current ability, he'll be playing below his level but in order to get involved in the coaching and assisting then he probably had to drop to PT.

On top of that, there's his mental health awareness and he's mentioned teaching, too, so it's a lot to fit in around being FT.

He'll certainly offer as much off the pitch as he will on it.

As I said, I still think he could've had another 3 or 4 years at NL level if he really wanted to, so it's a good signing for Josh Butler lot and Boston's level.

Signed Grant Shelton (GK) and Steve Howson today. Two more of the managers' old favourites I guess. Any comments on them (from those who have seen them play ), as I don't recognise either name.

He went to Salford preaching professionalism but didn’t show any himself.

I’ll be interested to see how his spell at Boston goes.

Howson is your bog standard ‘decent’ but slow NLN centre back.
Not good enough for a side looking for promotion.

Thanks for comment on the player. Not sure our fans are expecting immediate promotion though, just some stability as we get ourselves back on track. We're essentially in re-build mode on a (very) modest budget.

I should imagine he won’t be the last former Salford player.

I’d put good money on Scott Burton and he would be an excellent signing.

In what way?
Came in with a billy big bollocks attitude, making life more difficult for people at the club than it needed to be. I also heard rumours of him being late for training and then of course running his mouth to the papers.

It's well known that Leyton Orient were in for Ebou Adams, who signed for Ebbsfleet on Friday. The ex-Norwich City midfielder says that Orient actually offered him a better deal financially, but that Ebbsfleet's greater patience was the deciding factor.

Ouch

Quite a coup for Concord Rangers who are assembling a decent squad in the Conference South with the signing of former Bradford and Lincoln winger Bily Knott
