Chester sign George Waring after he was released from his contract by Rovers. Mellon didn’t rate him, only seen him play for us once.
Two disinterested substitute appearances were all I saw of him.

Must be payback for James Alabi......

Wasn't a surprise, all of our strikers are out injured, left you yesterday and he's a Chester born boyhood fan.

Seems to have decent reviews all but from Tranmere from what I've seen.

Dan Meredith has joined us from West Brown until the end of the season.

John Still has only been here 5 minutes and hes already seen what the fanbase has been shouting about for the last 2-3 months.....we need a proper right back, not a centre midfielder trying to play the position .

Joe Quigley joins Havant on loan to the end of the season.

How that donkey keeps getting clubs at this level I will never know, he was beyond useless at Maidstone.

Quigley is steadily catching up J'Lo and Pacquette in the Club stakes. Is he ever not on loan?

Scott Boden has returned to the club. Worst kept secret ever. A fox in the box who knows where the net is is what we've been badly missing to be fair

Rekeil Pyke has been recalled by Huddersfield and loaned out to Rochdale. Had a cracker against Maidenhead too.

How many times have I said I'm fed up now? I'm only going on Saturday for the piss up.

We might be forced to play one of our 3 new forwards now.

But no, Rutherford & Beavon will still be there.

Boden comes across as an arse generally to be honest. You only have to see him in interviews to see he has a misplaced arrogance about his person.

He seems to be a troublemaker to me. I remember that it was a total ballache for us to try and get him from Inverness because he was having some dispute there as well.
He got on well at Gateshead because there's no fans to pile any sort of pressure on. He'll crumble again at Chesterfield, without a doubt.

Rutherford, Beavon, Bobby Grant. If that isn't the front 3 on Saturday I'll eat my spirit of 58 hat.

Exactly what I was going to say but couldn't be arsed typing it.

He does well at no-pressure, no-crowd type of clubs.

I would if I was Mellon. Huge waste of time them being here.

To be honest, Stockton seems like a wasted signing. I would have much preferred if Fondop was given another chance within the team.

Or Holroyd, who is actually better than both of them as well as probably any other forward we've currently got.

He did alright for us last time to be fair. His app/goal ratio don't look great on paper, but most of them were 90th min subs to run the clock down. He never started. He was a bit of a league two Solksjaer, we chucked him in when we needed a goal and he got some important ones. There was always a player there. He was just here at a time when we had like Jack Lester, Jamie Ward, Craig Davies so he was never gonna get a proper game. Always came across to me as a proper poacher though

He was excellent against Salford a couple of weeks ago.

See Cassidy is out in the Maidstone press banging on about what a negative club we are.

Yes we are. He's right.

Because we sign shite like him.

Gone for the easy option has Jake. Mediocrity at this level is not something Pools fans are ready to accept.

Agreed, without being condescending expectation at Maidstone is absolutely miles apart from the expectation at Pools, the cheeky fucker has the gall to talk about negative fans, this from a striker with his abysmal goal scoring record, it's no wonder we're so negative watching him run about carrying a piano on his back, fouling every fucker. Pools fans give their full backing to players who give a shit, it's why players like Noble, Kioso, Loach and Hawkes are so idolised and the pea hearted like Cassidy are exposed and weeded out.

Chesterfield have signed Ellis Chapman from us on loan until the end of the season.

A young CM, only just turned 18, and clearly very good technically. Physically he's more developed than your normal lad of that age but not quite what he needs to be at L2 level. We sold him to Leicester a few years back but he wasn't enjoying it and re-joined our youth set-up and was with the first team at 16.

If were were bumbling around in mid-table then I think he'd be starting for us most weeks.

Roarie Deacon has returned to Sutton following a season and a half at Dundee. Deacon was probably the standout player in our 16-17 run to the FA Cup 5th round, so the levels of excitement in SM1 and amongst the exiles is extremely high

We’ve also signed Dylan Kearney from Harrow Borough, a young striker with 20+ goals this season

We had Dylan Kearney last season and I thought he was woefully out of his depth at Conny Sarf level so I'll be intrigued to see how he gets on at the National level. Good luck to him.
