Hayden Hollis signed for us permanently. Was always on the cards after a decent loan spell last season. No complaints from me,

We've signed Kyle Jameson. 20 year old defender. Barrow fans what can we expect, I believe you had him on loan

Good young defender - with Dan Jones probably going to League 1 he would have been a good signing - makes the odd mistake as all younger players do - but a lot of potential

Is Jones good enough for L1 you think? Heard Blackpool, Fleetwood and Shrewsbury are his options.

He's got loads of potential and can be a really commanding defender because of his size. Seemed to burn out towards the end of the season, but would expect that he's ready to play more regularly this year. Also likes to carry the ball forward, and the passing style will suit him.

Another with a mistake in him, but his commitment and natural ability make him stand out. Best at centre back where he can play long diagonal passes, but also competent at left-back and midfield. Can take a free-kick and a hell of a long throw too. So much to his game that he'd be useful to any League 1 squad if not an automatic starter.

Jake Cole has joined us from Aldershot.

I must say I'm happy with this one, hes looked quality whenever I've seen him play.

Signing #5 for Maidenhead as keeper Chris Dunn signs.

Wrexham fans - is he OK at this level?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but don't Solihull still have a good left back in Reckord? Or has he left? Don't see why they would need him and Hancox

I see that Chester have signed Kevin Roberts. Thought he might end up with us since Duckworth seems to be stalling over a new deal. Could be a good sign for us

Dunn is an ok keeper for lower half of this league. He will not command his box and claim a cross or a corner though.

Roberts is finished at this level IMO but will be ok at North level.

Yep, a Chester return for Kevin Roberts after nearly a decade away. Solid signing ability wise, he just looked a bit immobile the last time I saw him is all.

Think he’s been signed as a utility player to chip in where necessary. Thomson will be pushing him for a start at right back.

Last season Roberts definitely looked a lot slower and less inclined to go forward. But he's a solid enough defender. Your defence is looking a bit ponderous at the moment...

One more centre back, younger with some pace we need now. Taking out Roberts, the full backs and those who can fill in are actually pretty quick. Jackson and Taylor are rapid and Waters and Thomson are probably slightly above average speed wise.

We made him and now he's come back to us nearly 10 years after he left.

Chester are building up a solid defence for NLN level. Copying our style?

Yes, Reckord has signed a new contact. Tyrone Williams and Lee Vaughan are also contracted for next season. I’m thinking flowers might be playing him higher up.

If you sign McCallum, I think I have you down as favourites to win the league. Suspect you will have a few more signings on top of them too.

Hardly ~~ our central defenders have a combined age of nearly 70. We do have a potentially good strike force with Asante and Waring with Matty Hughes and youngster Lloyd Marsh-Hughes (of whom great things are predicted) in the mix.

Isn't Waring just a big lump?

Asante is a good player, any news on his injury woes? A big part of how well your season is going to go is going to be down to his fitness.

Hancox is better in midfield than at full back. We actually played him as a winger during our title run in.
