Bernard Mensah's disastrous loan spell at Maidenhead has been terminated. He's now joined Gloucester City on a permanent deal from Bristol Rovers.

That is about his level now, he's declined a fair bit. Good opportunity for him to rebuild as he's not a starting player at step 1 anymore.

Edit: just noticed Gloucester paid a fee for him and have him on an 18-month contract, which strikes me as a huge gamble for a team with one of the lowest budgets in the NL North given how poor he has been this season.

Gloucester seem to have suddenly come into money, I've heard Matt McClure left us because they offered him a full time contract on very good money.

Yes I know they're returning to Gloucester soon, but it seems a very big gamble to go full time before even knowing what type of crowds you will be pulling in.

We have signed highly-rated John Johnson from Altrincham for cash plus Craig Mahon on an 18 month deal with an option for a further 12 months. Very pleased with that.

The loans for Omari Patrick and Tyler Reid have ended.

Patrick is going to be a miss, 5 goals in 10 for him I think, and that coincided with a pick up in league form for us. Hoping Ponticelli (and ideally another forward coming in as well) can make up for his loss

Saw a snippet of Alty’s fans forum tonight where Parkinson praises Hulme for rejecting us a year ago but essentially confirms that it’s likely he might come to us now.

We'll see, it's one that might cost again. One thing we've learned is that Murphy will stump up for fee's but installs a bit more discipline in to the wage budget.

Winger/attacking midfielder. Signed him on loan along with Hutton at the start if the season. Like you say he played a few games but never offered much, and soon became 1 of the squad members that were being left out on matchdays.
