Or just very very sad for him
When with us he tried really hard, and so fans liked him, but did not have the necessary finishing quality. I remember that for a not too talk bloke he was fairly good at winning and holding up the ball, and did occasionally play the lone striker for us.We've signed Jordan Slew (striker) . He's had more clubs than I have hot dinners. Hasn't done much at any of them either. Smacks of a cheap option but I'll give him a chance
Bromley signed Nathan Tormey from Arsenal.
Think they’re going under the radar and will be right up there with the well publicised sides.

I disagree, I think it will be a major surprise if someone outside of the top two in the betting won the league and an absolute shock if the winner came from outside the top eight (in the betting).Massive fall from grace after turning down Arsenals contract offer last year, but fair play if it works for him he can definitely make a good career from the bottom up.
I agree about Bromley, one of a number of teams who could really upset the odds.

Good signing for Solihull. Been a low end league 2/high end national league player since his spell with us.Lois Maynard has joined Solihull on a season long loan.
I think we'll be bringing in a midfielder at some point now.
He's average in my opinion. Too slow and ponderous. He got rave reviews before he came here but I wonder if age and/or injuries has just caught up with him.Good signing for Solihull. Been a low end league 2/high end national league player since his spell with us.
Aye I watched him quite a bit at Salford and was impressed but his legs have gone. He's average in my opinion. Too slow and ponderous. He got rave reviews before he came here but I wonder if age and/or injuries has just caught up with him.

The thing is I think Ardley said he's signed him because he's athletic and dynamic or whatever.I don't think you could claim it as a major surprise if Notts, Chesterfield, Grimsby, Torquay or Southend won the league tbh.
Ardley absolutely loves a slow and ponderous experienced midfielder, so Maynard sounds about right for them.
Notts and Chesterfield I’d agree with, but I’d class it as a major surprise if Southend Torquay or ourselves win it given current squads.I don't think you could claim it as a major surprise if Notts, Chesterfield, Grimsby, Torquay or Southend won the league tbh.

I would be astounded if we get anywhere near winning it but then who would have said Sutton would win it last season (or Barrow the year before)?Notts and Chesterfield I’d agree with, but I’d class it as a major surprise if Southend Torquay or ourselves win it given current squads.
BROMLEY manager Andy Woodman has unveiled the signing of former Millwall striker George Alexander.
The 20-year-old has penned a permanent deal with the Vanarama National League club following a successful trial period at Hayes Lane, scoring three goals during pre-season.
23 man squad going into the new season, with Mark Cousins, Joe Partington, Toby Stevenson, Billy Bingham, Chris Bush, Luke Coulson, Jude Athurs, Michael Cheek, James Alabi, Courtney Duffus, Louis Dennis, Kory Roberts, Liam Trotter, Byron Webster, Corey Whitely, Harry Forster, Nathan Tormey, George Alexander, Sam Skeffington, Archie Burnett, Finlay Lovatt, AJ Martin and Marcus Sablier all signed up.
Grimsby are going nowhere, we need someone to fill the vacancy Wrexham are going to create and Grimsby fit like a glove.Notts and Chesterfield I’d agree with, but I’d class it as a major surprise if Southend Torquay or ourselves win it given current squads.
Yes, that is why I said it would be a massive surprise, and if so at least we can look back on our 100+ year Football League history which is 100 years more than you losers have had or ever will have.Grimsby are going nowhere, we need someone to fill the vacancy Wrexham are going to create and Grimsby fit like a glove.![]()

He's very mobile, covers every blade of grassNew signing announced today - we’ve got a new head groundsman. Wonder if he can play up front?
Thoughts on Festus Arthur who we've signed on a season long loan from Hull. Was't he young - but highly rated by your fans? He's very mobile, covers every blade of grass
He's done bugger all for 5 years (actually announced his retirement in February!) but he's still only 31 and has looked fit in our friendlies and scored a few goals (another one today against Chippenham).Holman, there's a blast from the past.
