I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.
We must go down to the National League again, which is hardly the same, but well done Stags.
Well done Mansfield, chuffed after our final a couple of years ago and the class shown that you've managed to make it up. Shame we are swapping places but wish you the best of luck in challenging next season and the big games you'll have.
Congrats Stags, after a few years of knocking on the door, it's finally opened for you. Good luck up there, don't follow our example and you'll be fine.
I think being honest we should be a decent example/template for most on this division.
We’re not the biggest of sides, but with consistency you can build and push for promotion which we’ve done, and kept calm when it’s not gone right the first time.
Obviously the division line up isn’t complete for next season but i don’t see any clear front runner/favourite so could be anyone’s.
Agree with this....."with consistency you can build and push for promotion which we’ve done, and kept calm when it’s not gone right the first time."
So many football fans could learn from this. Plenty of calls for Nigel to be sacked at Mansfield during his time there, even last season. But not panicking and building towards medium/long term aims is key for me.
Unless you've got a shit tonne of money compared to everyone else then **** it overspend on transfer fees, wages and take the easy shortcut to success.
