As for Conte, great appointment. The current Juventus team owes pretty much all of its success to him, he'll take this underachieving team and have them challenging for the title within a couple of seasons. Players won't be allowed to or want to slack off like they have done at the end of Mourinho's reign.

Hopefully it all ends in tears obvs.

So basically he took an Italian side who were disgraced at a World Cup (again) and announces that he's buggering off before his first major tournament.

He doesn't strike me as a tactical genius but Chelsea is not a difficult job these days thanks to Jose. All the fans will want is a top 4 for 2016/17. Not a hard thing to achieve given the current squad and he'll most certainly strenghten it after the Euros.

Until he joined Juventus he was a straight 4-2-4 manager.

Obviously may favour the 3-5-2 due to his success at Juve, but that seems a formation very suitable to Italian football and less suitable here.

If he did bring the 3-5-2 to Chelsea then Cuadrado would be perfect as a wing back. Hazard is off to PSG anyway, so doubt he'll be too upset.

I think the squad he inherited made the formation a formality really. Barzagli, Bonucci & Chiellini were playing at the back before and it was working very well. Pogba also looked good in the midfield.
Time will tell if he is a 352 manager.

Think Conte's more of a manager who, as a player, was described as being "practically certain" to have used performance enhancing drugs by a leading blood specialist, in a trial which resulted in the Juventus club doctor being sentenced to prison.

But yeah, strict disciplinarian, knows some formations. Am sure Chelsea will improve under his tutelage.

I don't really pretend to know too much about him but those who do seem to think that he's relatively flexible and likely to adapt his tactics to suit the personnel at his disposal. Whatever the merits of some of the first eleven, I think the squad needs quite a lot of work to be honest - it's currently far too thin and definitely not capable of competing on multiple fronts (probably just as well we won't be involved in European competition tbh).

Not sure whether Hazard will be off. I mean, it wouldn't come as a surprise or anything, but I doubt Chelsea will let him go for anything but silly money (not completely convinced that any of his potential suitors are going to come in with astronomical bids, but we shall see).

If the Chelsea players felt safe ousting their title winning manager, then Conte has no chance. Abramovich's close proximity to the first team undermines the manager.
