The fact that the NHS is short staffed is a direct result of critical underfunding for years from Tory government. We’ve constantly been told throughout the pandemic that the NHS has been at breaking point therefore it’s our duty to lock ourselves down for them. That excuse has worn thin now and no longer holds weight, we’re not here to lockdown just to protect the NHS.

I’ve been double jabbed, had covid and now I’ve got it again. I feel absolutely fine second time around after feeling horrendous the first time and I’m certain that’s because of the vaccine. What more can you do than that? You can’t just keep imposing more lockdowns because people are ‘short staffed’
This. x10000.

His NHS needs protecting from the government is the biggest load of bullshit ever. If it needed protecting we would have half the hospital beds/critical care facilities we had 10 years ago when it was funded properly.

Classic do as I say, not as I do mentality from the government which has been the same throughout the whole pandemic from them breaking every rule under the sun, making their mates/families millionaires with pathetic contracts or this crap about the NHS.

If they properly cared they'd have funded it and we'd cope anyway.

What the fuck are you talking about you clown? Where I have I said I’m a ‘fan’ of lockdowns?

Restrictions or other measures are only of any use if they apply to everyone, so me or anyone else not going out is a waste of time. But even a thick twat like you knows that, so why talk such bollocks?

Several local health authorities have declared critical incidents because of a lack of staff, so what do you propose to do about that?

In fact the NHS is now on a ‘war footing’ so yeah, Coco from Woking and Bozo from Halifax were entirely correct in their expert assessment that extra measures shouldn’t have been brought in over Christmas. Jesus wept.
Hahaha state of you. Absolute state of you.

Ill take your response as “I’m a hypocritical whining little c***“ then?

WAR FOOTING.

BillyBigBollocks was entirely correct in his assessment that we should lock down every single winter. Maybe the government should just sack all their advisors and listen to the crying ill educated bellend from Lincoln?

It doesn’t have to be either or though does it? Both are true. Yes the NHS has been massively underfunded and as a result it’s woefully ill equipped to deal with a pandemic.

There should still have some mitigations put in place to stop the situation from spiralling out of control. Too late now though.

These un- vaccinated non believers are the ones who are now catching it and calling Ambulances and taking up Hospital spaces for something they don't think exists. Let the Fuckers die unless they want to pay for private healthcare.

Not only that, but the government are now spending £££ on anti-viral treatments for the unvaccinated to prevent fatalities. These drugs should be reserved for those that have had the vaccine but had a poor immune response. For everyone else a 12 pack of paracetamol and a 50p off coupon off a lucozade multipack.

Supposedly no changes in Wales being made today, and the next review is end of the month.

That'll mean the Grimsby and Maidenhead home matches being played behind closed doors.

We can take however many we want to Yeovil though.

Madness from the Welsh Labour Government, it’s not like the current restrictions are having an effect in lowering the rate? Peak for this variant in London is over, rest of UK will follow shortly.

It's mental. We get zero benefit from it as England haven't shut down, it only serves to harm businesses. I reckon we'd have been close to oblivion by now had Ryan and Rob not stepped in when they did.

Chester will probably have to move now as well, after the Welsh Government's comments on them.

No idea how viable it would be, but could there be the scope for you doing what Carlisle did when they got flooded and playing home games somewhere just across the border (assume Chester would be out, but maybe Crewe or Tranmere or something?) while the restrictions are in place?

Being reviewed weekly, but Grimsby fans, I wouldn't be booking any non-refundable transport/hotels just yet.

We played a home game at Nantwich for the FA Cup replay, hopefully we can look at moving at least one of the games there. Chester will also be doing the same sort of thing I assume.

This morning Chester Football Club was invited to a meeting with representatives of North Wales Police, Flintshire County Council, Cheshire Police and Cheshire West & Chester Council.

During this meeting, the Club was given a joint letter on behalf of North Wales Police and Flintshire County Council which outlines potential breaches of Welsh Coronavirus Regulations at our fixtures on 28th December 2021 and 2nd January 2022.
It also states the Club may commit further potential breaches if it continues to play home fixtures with crowds while the current restrictions in Wales remain in place.
We were informed this was based upon direction from the Welsh Government that the premises of Chester Football Club are governed by the Welsh Regulations. The Welsh Government was not represented at the meeting.
It was agreed that all parties would seek further legal advice given the complex issues and future implications of any outcome.
We will provide a further update to our supporters as soon as we are able to.

This is ridiculous

I'm confused. Wasn't it established previously when England and Wales were under different restrictions that Chester's ground fell under English rules rather than Welsh ones. What makes things different this time?

We're in the right but probably won't be able to afford the legal costs to challenge it. You can't even access the land from Wales.

Welsh Government will need to fork out to backdate the funding then if they get their own way.

I thought this too.

Pretty much the whole ground is in Flintshire. One stand is bang on the County Boundary line which is where the 'the club office is in England' comes from. But as Bluandwhite says the ground is accessed through England and the car park is in England. Common sense should prevail tbh.

As an Flintshire resident I would like to know why rent is paid to Cheshire West if its a Flintshire building. I might have a word with my contacts in Legal and Estates.

Even I hate that Welsh Minister gimp Drakeford and I'm obviously not even Welsh.

Just strikes me he's buzzing he gets to make a seperate decision to England or the rest of the U.K so goes big to show his "power".

He'll justify it to say he's helping with infections etc, he's costing people's their livelihoods.

Does anybody actually like him in Wales?

Having wildly different regulations in different regions is just madness (unless its controlled on the borders etc not that .advocating that!). Living in a border region just highlights the lunacy. Im on a Eight out in Chester on Saturday, I'll be cheek by jowel with the riddled English.

The other thing which complicates it is that there is an agreement in place that Cheshire Police have jurisdiction over us, not North Wales Police despite what country the land lies in.

It's all rather silly.

He was re-elected back in May, so some people clearly like him
Was he re-elected or were Labour just re-elected?

Genuine question because I don't know.
