But some of the part time players jobs are not I guess, gets very difficult when you go further down the ladder as players can’t earn a full time wage from football.

I can only see a full real lockdown in the near future and I think it will include elite football.

I don't see the point of this when people are still going into offices. Football is one of the safest jobs in terms of COVID risk.

On what grounds? Everything is outdoors.
Going by that video it seems a fair few teams don't think its right for football at this level to continue why covid is out of control in the south and also because no one is testing their players on a regular basis.

But no other industry aside from those that have been forcibly shut are suspending operations on those grounds.

No home fans for our game at Kings Lynn on Boxing Day then. Shame for them, with a decent home gate at £25 a ticket (whatever you think of that) plus a large number of Notts fans streaming it would have been their best earner for yonks, I’d have thought

We're going into tier 3 in Somerset so we never managed to have any fans at a home game.

5 boxing day games in the National South already called off due to covid, with the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if a few more also go the same way.

In my teams (my other one) league there are calls for the league to be scrapped (step 5) interestingly by those not doing so well.
My club, won 7 drew 1 lost 0 are a few games behind the others due to getting into the 4th rd of the Vase.
It was scrapped last season and the FA really dont want it to be this as its feeding into the new central division at step 4. I just think lets just keep this season going until its done.
Then what ever month it ends plan for the next. By then friendlies and fans should be allowed.

I thought the isolation period was 10 days, so surely our game at home to B/Wood on NYD should also be off, or is it because we are on TV that day, we will be OK.
Coronavirus hates TV coverage.

It was ludicrous to not finish last season on PPG at that level, and even more ludicrous to enter this season without a clear plan for what to do if something goes wrong again.

Our two players Covid tests have returned as negative so our games are still on. We could have played last night but hey ho.

Anyone know what games (if any) are still going ahead in the South. Think the new tier4 arrangements may
well have caused even more postponements.

The only conclusion, with this constant drip of postponed games, is that the season will grind to a halt. Whether the league will revert to their plan B & only 1 game v an opponent this season or decided by PPG, who knows. But v hard to see the season concluding as we know it.

I think steps 1-2 should be fine, just, but there is no way steps 3 and below are finishing.

Dulwich/Welling is the latest game to be called off due to covid.

Just two games left in the South:
Dorking v Hampton
Chippenham v Bath

This is becoming a farce, IMO best to halt the season now.

Why? Not every team is going to be out with covid positive players indefinitely.

Halting the season just lengthens it.

If a player at a club tests positive and is sent away to isolate, then as long as all the other players test negative surely training and games can still be played, or are clubs not testing all players. Having 1 player out and games being called off is getting ridiculous, as what if a player was suspended, the game would still go ahead. At my work, 1 person tested positive so was sent home, the rest of us have to carry on working.

The League need to look at getting teams whose opponents have cancelled to play each other in the gaps.

No way this season will get finished. If we scrape everybody to 30 plus games by May we'll do PPG.

We’ve only played one game since the defeat to Chesterfield on December 8th, against St Albans in the trophy. We’ve already lost games against Stockport and Bromley. And now we’re due to lose games against Dover and Bromley. By the time we play Alty on the 9th it will have been a month without a league game

Eastbourne Borough/Maidstone now off due to covid.

Sadly with how things are going there's noway this season is actually going to finish. Nearly 3 months into the season and we've only played a quarter of our games.

Just to put things into perspective, since the 18th of November we have only played 2 league games. Yet somehow we now need to play at least another FA Trophy game and 30 league games in 5 months.

Unless the virus suddenly disappears I just can't see how we are going to pull this off.
