I tend to find this argument always comes down to the lowest common denominator. You can explain economics, market forces, the fact that this money is all privately created and distributed, you can explain how few people are actually earning this amount, and you can sure as hell explain that it means they're putting more into the kitty with a week's wages than most people do in a lifetime...

However, they don't understand any of that. You get dragged down to their level, and inevitably, someone will end up shouting at you ''but NURSES and OUR BOYS IN (insert country we have no right to be murdering people in) earn less in a year than they do in a day'' and you can do nothing but wonder how these idiotic mouthbreathers are capable of any thought at all, let alone breeding and raising a selection of progressively thicker incarnations of themselves.
