Another game closer to ending this misery. Bring it on.

Can't imagine we'll make many changes, not got a lot of options still. I want us to go to 5-3-2, exposes the full backs less and given how we're defending at the moment, we desperately need an extra body in the defence. Still, not really that bothered, us defending like shit and losing speeds up our relegation.

As for Wigan, they are slowly working their way up the table. Got ridiculous squad depth and look good for a run at the top 2. Already beat us twice, so easy to see them making it 3 on the bounce here.

3-1 defeat, Colclough with our goal.

The sad thing about this is I genuinely can't be arsed to pay the train from Manchester to Crewe and would rather work on my dissertation than be in a foul mood at witnessing another spineless performance and knowing that prick still won't be sacked and will be staunchly defended by the muppets that are Morse and McGarry.

5-0 Wigan. Boos ringing out. Knobheads at the front of the Main Stand clapping our own players off like against Coventry.

Unlikely, but I admire your optimism.

I'd just like to put on record just how much I hate Graham Mcgarry. The guys a disgrace to hs profession. As a journalism student, in my lecture yesterday the first thing the lecturer said was 'first rule of journalism is- don't get too close to the people your interviewing, remember you walk for the public so remember your target audience'. GET OFF THE CREWE ALEX TEAM BUS AND DO YOUR JOB.

The even sadder thing is that I live 5 mins away from the ground, been given free tickets and still trying to find something else to do than witnessing our shower of shite.

Davis out. Hassall out. Bowler out.

We're going to get trounced. I'm not sure what happened at Swindon, Swindon should have been 4-0 up by 15 mins but then seemed to have a mental breakdown after scoring their first. We got kinda lucky. Still conceded 9 in two, could have been so much worse but for that & Coventry easing right off in the second half. So there could be money in Wigan to win by 4 or more @ 10/1.

And yes, Radio Stoke are a disgrace. Complicit in the mismanagement of this club. They should be boycotted tbh.

Regardless of the result here you have won on Tuesday so Davis and his sacking will have to wait I am afraid. In fact the more battling your performance against Wigan the less chance you have of beating us.
If you lose 5-0 then you will certainly beat us, no two ways about it.

The fact we're level in this game at HT is utterly hilarious given how crap we've been.

However after Sir Steve's team-talk, I'm going for the floodgates to open in Wigan's favour in the second half.

I hate our fans mentality of this club. Get a point at home and everything is alright again?

If that Wildschut wasn't a bag of arse we'd have been well beaten. Fuck Turton off, Haber is a lazy idle bastard and Davis can fuck off for settling for a point when the game was there to be won.

Then Davis says we've taken a 'big step forward'. Let's see what happens at Bury and Millwall this week before we say things like that...

Not sure on the fuss about that. Wigan were wank in the final third, takes some going to be worse at set pieces than us. Inman and Colclough may as well have been the only two Crewe players on the pitch in the first 40 minutes, the defence was embarrassing at times and the fact Turton is a professional footballer gets more baffling by the day.

To be fair, I don't think anyone is pretending a point today makes everything is ok. But today was better. More fight, more comittment. Once again it blows Steve's "we can't compete" arguments right out the water. We competed today, just like we did against Sheff U, who probably have the 2nd biggest budget in the league behind Wigan. Our issues are mental ones, not monetary or talent ones.

Cooper looked sharp today, faded in the 2nd half, but still had more of an impact than he's had in his last 20 appearances. Coco had them worried everytime he ran with the ball. Haber is not a lone front man and after his 2 goals down the middle last week, of course Brad was pushed out onto the wing today.

But I don't think anyone can claim everything is right with the world after today. We are still in serious trouble, still going down and still looking conference bound. Davis still needs to go, Bowler too probably.

But the only thing that I can do to cope with this is take things from game to game. Hopefully we can go down with a bit of dignity.

You'll be surprised with what you'll find on this > https://www.facebook.com/crewealexofficial/?fref=ts

"Great result, hopefully a turning point!"

"Why be negative after we got a point at home?"

Some fans are as repetitive as the manager's soundbites.

Alright, I meant "anyone worth listening to". The morons on facebook aren't worth reading and I avoid the comment sections on that site because I know there are idiots who'll defend the club and it'll just annoy me. Some might be fooled by this point, but they'll soon disappear when/if we lose our next 2 and are right back at square one.

We can compete with teams of any budget size at this level and we can results against anyone. But what we can't do is get any sort of consistency. There isn't a 5-6 game unbeaten run in this game. There isn't a 9 points from 12 or 4 game winning run in them. That's why we'll go down. But like I said, I'm just taking it on a game by game basis and judging them on that because I know we're probably down already. Today was fine. In the grand scheme of things, it changes nothing, but in isolation, it was fine. Lets see how we do Tuesday.

We've gone from celebrating promotion and Wembley wins to celebrating the players showing effort in a game. So they fucking should.

Tomorrow morning the whole of Crewe is going to erupt in whoops and cheers of amazement when the sun comes up.

I think it's fair to say I was a bit closer. ;)

You win in this case sir, I hope that if we don't go up, you will stay up (even if it is unlikely). Can't say fairer than that.

Criticise the team when they play badly and don't put the effort in, but for fucks sake at least acknowledge when we've seen a good performance and a great game of football. I can't fault yesterday - Wigan are a strong side and considering everyone here thought we'd get trounced, the reality is that we came out with a deserved and well earned point.

It won't fix the mess we're already in, and I still want wholesale changes at Crewe, but fucking hell the slit-wrists brigade on here are depressing. I'm not someone who claps along regardless, but I will defend the team when they put in a genuinely good performance and the two teams give us something that was well worth the entrance fee.

It was a pity, from your point of view that Blackpool and Shrewsbury also managed good results against promotion chasing sides (not too bad for us though). Pleased you got a point against Wigan however.
