Honestly not sure what to even say any more, just repeating the same old stuff really.

If Davis goes with anything remotely resembling last weeks starting XI, I'll flip. Drop Nugent and Fox, they were both terrible last week and both have been out of form for weeks. Get Turton back into midfield, put Ng back to RB. Put Guthrie at LCB alongside either Ray or Davis, don't care which one. Bakayogo to LB, Cooper and Kirk on the wings, Haber and Hitchcock upfront. Still gives us Ainley, Inman and LDV as bench options, bit of depth for a change.

As for Blackpool, they are getting dragged deeper and deeper into the mire, no wins in 8, which is worse than our current winless run of 7. But still, don't you worry Pool fans, we'll give you a nice boost on Saturday with a 1-0 away win.

Truthfully though, for some reason I'm getting relatively optimistic. Blackpool's terrible away record, us getting some important players back. Feel like this is a game we could and might well win. I know my head is telling me how stupid that is, but still, can't shake it. Oh well, I'm sure I'll look silly come Saturday evening.

Edit, and thats 1000 up for me. Here's to another 1000 posts of moaning about the Alex.

You got to say if Crewe don't win they're joining Colchester in the bottom division, the only positive could be it ends the debacle that is Steve Davis

If you don't beat Blackpool, you deserve to go down. We weren't great by any stretch last night, however Blackpool were absolute toss.

Draw. Cannot separate two teams who are this shit.

Saturday was an absolute abomination of a performance and Davis is lucky it was an away game in front of a handful of fans. If we lose this Saturday a manager at a normal club would walk/be pushed immediately. Here, there is absolutely no question he will be manager in 12 months time - win, lose or draw.

Ainley should start imo.

Shows the apathy for the 2 clubs involved that 5 of the first 7 comments in this thread are from other fans.

Uche doesn't appear to have done anything at Blackpool as yet.

Fancy Crewe to win this tbh.

Actually not bothered about this game one bit. I reckon we'll get a scrappy 1-0 win and cue all the Davisites saying how he's the best man for the job because he's mustered up only his second win in nearly 4 months.

Doesn't hide the fact we're a rudderless mess, going down without a fight and are utter toss ourselves really.

...coming out with some shit comparison about how much better off than Blackpool we are and how lucky we are to have Davis/Bowler/academy/Turton. Guaranteed. Most likely to be via Peter Morse. In fact it'll probably be the centre of McGarry and Morse's entire hour build up on Radio Stoke.

(It'll be a warm up for April: "Vale may be in top 6 and absolutely twatted us but so proud we have X academy players in our team")

I had to ask my mate who we were even playing this weekend, that is how disillusioned I am with Crewe at the moment.
Don't Care.
We win, I don't care, the club is still a joke.
We draw, don't care, the club is still a joke.
We lose, I don't care, the club is still a joke.

Continuation of last week but just became laughable in the last 10 minutes.

What else can be said that hasn't been said in the last 12 months?

I don't think I'll be bothering with half as many games next season. Another relegation battle with players out of their depth, waste of time. The club is dying and there's absolutely no reason to think, even after Davis departure, it will choose anything other than to go down with the ship that is the academy.

We are a special kind of inept, we really are. I mean, we just take it to new levels. Hard to even know where to begin. All the talk about starting games better went down a treat, another game where the opposition dominated for the first 10-15 minutes. Got better after that and were the better side until they scored in typical Crewe fashion. As usual, concede a shite goal because we miss the first and second headers from a cross. Shambles.

Sending off was right by the letter of the law, but I despise the rule saying celebrating with the crowd is a bookable offence. Total joke, all it does it remove the connect between the fans and the players and lessens what little entertainment fans still get from football. But, following the rules(which Redshaw knew about), he gets booked and then makes a stupid challenge that could have been red card worthy on its own. Brainless by him. But you knew exactly what was coming in the 2nd half and so it transpired.

45 minutes that encapsulate why we are in the mess we are in, at least in part anyway. We created chances but never really looked like scoring. I know we hit the woodwork twice, but it was just a shambolic effort. Helped of course by no plan or directions from the side line. Once the first sub was made, the system dissolved into an unorganised mess, with no idea of how they were going to break Blackpool down. Whip in crosses, play through the middle, hit the big striker early, no clue at all. It showed why the management get the criticism they do and why those who still believe Davis and Collins should still be in a job are fucking idiots. I wouldn't trust those 2 to run a bath, let alone a 3rd tier(soon to be 4th tier) football club. I mean, Bingham for Fox, are you fucking kidding me?! What was the point of that, seriously? Morons, the pair of them!

That last 10 minutes though, wow. Get back into the game through an extremely lucky goal, nice finish by Haber but pure fluke. He couldn't pull that off if he tried it another 100 times. Ok, 1 minute to go plus stoppages, lets keep our heads, build on that goal and try and win it. Oh wait, nevermind, concede a free kick from the kick off, don't deal with the ball into the box, deflects up and over Garratt for a comical Blackpool winner. I laughed at that point, its gotten so bad now that I just laugh when we concede, that goal was hilarious. Can't even get angry any more. But wait, it gets better. Hitchcock gets clattered with a couple of minutes to go, stonewall penalty. Inman steps up and skies it over the bar. Knew it would happen, that miss was in keeping with how the game had gone. Shambles, from start to finish.

Seriously, when are the fans going to wake up and realise how royally fucked the club is? What more does it take? The board are run by a dictator whose word is law. Thats fine, except he isn't the chairman and he isn't the majority shareholder. He built us up, but his decision(and it isn't the boards, its his!) to take us down this path is slowly seeing his legacy and what he built erode away. He's decided that the club should go down the path of supporting a cash cow academy that runs at a massive loss and to the detriment to the first team, a business model that means we need to sell a £1m player every year(or every other year at worst) to just break even. If thats sustainable, then I can't wait for the next few years. Then, we have a board that haven't got a clue how to replace the management we have, hence the "fingers crossed and hope" approach to leaving Davis in charge. They won't go outside the club and they haven't got a candidate inside. So we leave the inept duo in charge. I mean, how can Dario sit there and watch this garbage attacking product on the pitch and be happy with how the team is being run? It can only be that he just doesn't care anymore, how can he?

Then we have a management duo that are so inept in every aspect of their job, its staggering. On the ball, off the ball, selections, tactics, subs, coaching. They haven't got a clue. When will the masses realise this and call for them to go? Pathetic, the whole club have gambled their future next season in L2 on Kirk, Ainley and Finney being good enough from the word go, on Jones, Cooper and co to score enough goals to keep us in the league. Good luck lads, you won't have support around you, you'll have to do it all yourselves. Oh and you'll be doing it whilst working against a pair of muppets in the technical area, telling them the wrong things and using them the wrong way. If anyone thinks thats a recipe for success, then I think they are kidding themselves. We are going down with a whimper, with more problems that we can count. I fear for us next season.

As for Blackpool, they were pretty poor but were still better than us. That Potts looks like a tidy player in midfield and White had another excellent game, he's another find(although I know he's a Bolton loanee). The keeper was bloody huge too. Fair play to your fans, not only can you see the wood from the trees with the ownership and off field direction of the club(unlike a number of our fans), but you are also anti McDonald as well. Fans that are switched on enough to see that you can have ownership issues and still not be happy with how the team is run on the pitch. Deserved to win because they wanted it more, capitalised on our ineptitude and played the game perfectly once Redshaw was sent off. Well done Pool.

Good God. I suppose you've got to laugh haven't you.

Equalise with minutes to go vs an awful side who've had 10 men for 45 minutes, somehow contrive to let them score what seems to be a late winner, STILL have time to win a penalty . . . then sky it over the bar.

That was just unbelievable. The penalty from inman just reminded me of the one in Mike Bassett England manager. Absolutely diabolical.

Nice to see the main stand calling for Davis' head. In typical Davis fashion though, he stated it was just sections of the crowd. Arrogant at its finest.

He's leaving one day and I can't wait for it.

To me, Davis' legacy is dead. I've long forgotten the great early days of his reign and his sheer arrogance makes him worthy of a P45.

Good riddance when he leaves, long outstayed his welcome here and he knows it.

I severely disagree with the legacy term. We just had a good 18 months, nowhere near enough for it to be labelled that. This isn't just aimed at your comment, but I've seen it a few times on twitter tonight.

Dario Gradi built a legacy.. Alex Ferguson built a legacy.. Brian Clough.. Matt Busby.

All Davis did was get the best out of a group of players for a short, but successful amount of time. These players, who in hindsight, should never have been there in the first place. There was nearly 6m worth of talent in that squad.

Have we been that devoid of success over the last 10 years that we call the early Davis days a legacy?

Okay his achievements then, with Dario's squad both times mind. Still, I've long forgotten them and all I remember are three years of crap football and no direction, progressively getting worse as each season passes. Next season will be a barrel of laughs if he's retained, Nantwich will probably have bigger gates...

I say that in jest of course, but speaking of Nantwich, wouldn't mind their management staff to make the short trip down Nanny Road to get the best out of this failure. Davis and Collins need fucking off sharpish.
