Another relegation six pointer at Gresty Road, this time we play Leyton Orient who have a decent record at over us, especially at Gresty Road.

For us, we are beyond hoping that any tactical or selection nous from the manager will be the catalyst for a result. We have looked similarly toothless playing the 4-3-3 as we have playing the 5-3-2. Haber, Uche, Ajose, Coco from the bench, Inman, the midfield, the defence at set pieces. Nobody is stepping up to the mark, on or off the pitch. We are now at the stage where we just have to pray someone in the team can grab us a goal and the opposition are too wank to score enough to beat us.

Orient are still hampered by their off pitch worries, but with their quality, they will easily beat us on Saturday. Cox, Mooney, Dagnall, Henderson. If those guys show up, they will beat us no doubt. Just got to hope their defence has an off day.

Reckon we'll lose this one 2-0.

Don't think it's as simple as win/stay up or lose/go down. So fookin close that it's going down to the very last day again for 21st & 22nd imo.

1-legged Garratt (Rachubka can fuck off)
Turton - Davis - Tate - Leigh
Ness - Jones
Inman
Colclough - Ajose - LDV

Attack attack attack for fucks sake.

You will enjoy watching us play, at times we struggle to string passes together, communicate, control the ball and defend as a team.

We are shit and if we lose this we are down, our run in is far far too difficult to get any points from.

We have somehow got 7 points from our last 3 games, despite at times being absolutely appalling :hb::ffs::mad:

I refuse for this thread to turn into a "we're considerably shitter than you" thread. So.

We're going to absolutely batter you. I'm thinking 4-0, if you're lucky. Colclough hat-trick.

He will be don't worry. We haven't got anyone else unless Garratt makes a miraculous recovery (I wish).

Whats Rachubka done wrong? He's done fine I think, distribution and kicking is pretty good, not really been to blame for any of the goals we've let in bar the Barnsley 2nd. Sure, some aspects of his game aren't amazing, but given that he was a free agent and Oldham didn't even want him when we signed him, he's done ok imo. I wouldn't mind offering him a 1 year deal in the summer, as long as we get shot of mard arse Shearer.

Don't know if JJ's reply was aimed at me but I wasnt slagging off PR, i happen to think he's done very well since he's been called upon. Apart from the blunder v barnsley I can't think of another goal that he could have done anything about.

The post was more pro Garratt than anti Rachukba.

Genuinlly I don't care, we'll go down regardless of tomorrows result, as long as we're down by the last day I don't care.

We will probably lose, Who will be our mystery injury tomorrow?!

With our defence including that useless fucker Drossena, anyone has a chance.

Also we've used by my count 7 defenders this season and they've all been useless.

Also I know Josh Wright has scored in the last 2 games, but he is also shit.

We actually miss Marvin Bartley :emb:

Hopefully this is the start of the Davis' Last Stand, 5 games in which we'll roll over, get our bellies tickled and prepare for life at Accrington and Morecambe next season before the dull one is ousted!

Crewe 0-3 Leyton Orient, a cascade of boos, Ness to have 22% of passes completed, Crewe to have 1 shot on target all game, Uche to lose the ball countless times, Turton to blame twice for the goals for just standing there and letting his man pass, Colclough to get sent off and our midfield to get dominated without the appearance of the influential (not passenger) Grant.

Davis then proceeds to say "We did okay."

Well I got three of my predictions right including the obvious last one. Can't believe his post match drivel.

First half, 1-1 was about right. Second half could be the reason we go down, two points dropped for us.

We had enough chances, the way Crewe started the second half was appalling, they kept giving us the ball..........Henderson was guilty of missing a very easy chance when Dagnall slipped him in.

Conditions played their part as well, bright sun and very windy.

Couldn't believe how bad Crewe were though in the second half.

Best we've played in the last 5 games, just couldn't score a second..............

Why has our game been moved to the match day thread, yet all the others from today remain on the main page?

Anyway, first half wasn't great. Started well, got a goal from a decent move and looked quite comfortable. But then we defend like a bunch of amateurs down the left hand side, Leigh and Jones I think it was allowed Orient down the line too easily. Tate then has to come across and he doesn't stop the cross, then Davis and Turton leave Henderson all alone to tuck away the equaliser. Garbage defending.

After that, Orient were slightly on top but it was a scrappy even half. 1-1 was fair at that point.

2nd half...Wow! We were terrible for the entire half. So so bad. Couldn't string 2 passes together, our defending was shambolic, Rachubka was immense to keep the score 1-1. How Orient did get a goal is beyond me, the fact that they couldn't is probably why they are down near the bottom of the table.

But seriously, I am struggling to get over how poor we were. These were 2 teams scrapping against relegation, only 1 of them looked like that in reality. Davis got his selection right from the off, but after that.... Why is Uche being brought on over Haber? We were crying out for an aerial presence in the 2nd half, so why did we bring on Uche who has barely looked like a professional footballer since coming back on loan?! Our great manager then sticks our 2 poachers in Ajose and LDV out wide, great decision.

Oh and yet again, we get bested physically by Orient, they were far fitter and stronger than us, probably why we spent so much of the 2nd half on the back foot. We need 2 wins from our final 4. Still doable, but looking more and more unlikely.

I'm not entirely sure....

Think JJH might have done it by accident when he fucked up the other day possibly

I can move it back if you want?

When Davis had his little rant towards the crowd I honestly felt like punching him.

The same crowd that have stood there for the last 20 months and watched his utter dross, not always quietly but certainly patiently. And what does Davis do in return? Shouts 'eff off' in front on the view of everybody (young kids included). Hang your head in shame.

Orient are a team way below where they deserve to be, all because they can't finish chances. We drew 1-1 in a game we'd have lost 5-1 earlier in the season. And with 4 games to go, support the fucking club - voice the displeasure once we've done what's necessary to stay up, he isn't going to be sacked with 4 games left. A reaction like that to what could be a vital point got exactly what it deserves from Davis. He's making mistakes but it's not like he's trying to get us relegated. We didn't lose, our future stays in our hands. I hate our supporters.

We all have our opinions but Davis is a poor manager. 150 goals conceded in 2 seasons isnt good enough.

To be fair our defensive ineptitude is far more deep routed than Steve Davis (I've posted this before). Davis's record is not majorly different to Dario, Holland or Thordarseon. In the last 20 years we've only conceded less than 60 in a league season three times, one of those times was under Davis.
