My first game of the season this was. What a game to pick! We were absolutely brilliant! I was in shock when the 4th went in. We were comfortable at the back, great up top. The first league game ive enjoyed in the best part of 5 years. That said, although we were brilliant, Grimsby were awful. We could have and probably should have scored about 8 today.

Season has been over for ages, both Bignot and Fenty said the Jan transfers were players they wanted in the summer so have built next seasons squad 6 months early, in other words given up on this season.

Good news in one way there won't be massive upheaval in the summer, a shame for the fans who travel to watch though.
Bad news is this team that just lost 5-0 is also mostly next seasons side :D

Who are you kidding? You're 6 points off the Play offs in a league where anyone beats anyone.

The one game I don't go After going the last few. Had a ticket and didn't feel well. Typical, not seen us win for about 2 years.

Just seen the goals, some very good goals and looked like Copper was at the heart of everything.

Because Bignot has come in and ripped the side apart, bought his own players and playing his formation, which will take time to sort.

He could have kept Hursts players and played the way Hurst did and we might have had a chance but what manager does that?

Both Fenty and Bignot have said they signed players this Jan they didn't expect to sign till the summer and we won't be changing much in the summer, so this is very much his work in progress team for next season now.

We have been pretty poor in most games since Christmas apart from Luton at home, and yesterday was the exact same team as against Luton!

Tells me they think the season is over and these are friendlies! Sure we might get lucky and sneak in the playoffs but then so could about 6 or 7 other teams, which shows how poor this league is apart from the top 2

That was my point though, There are so many sides taking points off one another that a few wins will get you right in the middle of the mix.

I had a feeling we would win, but not like that, if we had hit double figures it would not have been unjust, we were that much superior. I fear for Grimsby a bit, after a hiding like that if they don't respond sharpish they could nosedive. I see big Dave had said before the game our 1st 11 eleven was technically better than Grimsby's 1st 11, that might have sounded insane to some, but it shows the mismanagement we have suffered for far to long under Davies as another manager would have never of got us relegated in the first place with last seasons team and another manager would have this seasons team at least in the top half, that's on the board for not acting and on Davies for not quitting.

I get your point but we really don't seem capable of stringing 2 wins together at the minute let alone the 4 or 5 which would be needed just to catch up as with all the teams between us and the play offs a few of them are bound to be winning also.
In the grand scheme of things though we are 14 points clear of the relegation zone which at the start of the season the majority of us would've taken I would expect.
I have every faith in Bignot eventually coming good with this team and having us around the play offs but for this season, no chance unfortunately.

As above, 6 points might not seem like much but it means putting 4,5,6 wins/draws in a row, which we won't be doing this season, not while the players are not only still getting to know each other but also learning a new system at least.

Its taken you 6 wins and 8 unbeaten to catch up, Wycombe, Exeter, Colchester, and Cambridge all needed long unbeaten runs to get in there at some point too.
