Hopefully Miller starts and sets out to wind up the Crewe players/fans. No doubt he will thrive on the atmosphere.

Whitfield, Pope and Miller is a decent attacking 3 which is going to cause problems. I still think we’ve got some questions to answer at the back and would prefer to see Rawlinson in the middle with Legge then Gibbons at right back and Clark at left back. Can’t see it happening as Aspin either doesn’t rate Gibbons or (I suspect) they’ve fallen out over something.

Our team is completely different to the aging one from last season and I can see us grabbing a win here.

3-2 Vale. Pope, Miller and Rawlinson with our goals.

My worry with Miller is its the kind of game where he might get sent off! Yes he will wind them up, may even win us a penalty! (think he has won us 2 or 3 so far!) but he will probably get sent off during a goal celebration or a reaction.

160 tickets left this morning, so if they don't shift by 2pm looking like 2,100ish. Poor given it's 13 miles away, but understandable given our away form.

A lot were saying at the Supporters club they were giving it a miss due to the choas in the side stand with the stewards letting people sit anywhere.

Poor excuse, given the number of times that's been covered over the last few weeks. Crewe, Vale, the police have all said fans must sit in their designated seats.

I know but in fairness if your an older fan forced to stand in a stairwell with the idiots on both sides doing what they did last year I guess it is understandable considering we haven't won away this year it's a great following (it will be a handful left at most)

A lot just can't be arsed with the fixture anymore. Crewe's ground is closer to my home than Vale Park but have no appetite for it given the complete incompetence & lack of organisation the last few visits.

Thought you had a new keeper this year?

Anyone taking 2000 anywhere in the 4th tier of football is decent. But surprising you’ve not sold old, 1st time since about 2008 or whenever it was you got relegated, you brought about 800 then but it was a Tuesday night.

Rare bloody away win that and all!

We may have sold out, oddly rather than go ticket office people are selling them or requesting them on the facebook groups etc!

I believe the ticket office phones were down yesterday too (again!)

My excuse for not going is i generally cant be arsed watch us lose away again and again. 2100 is still 1000 more than crewe bring to us anyway and is 50 % of our home support.

No point trying to predict how this will go. Both teams seem similar in the sense they can range from either extremely good or horriffic hence both teams probably looking at around mid-table all season.

Vale do seem a far better team when playing at a high tempo and I hope Aspin is taking that lesson on board for away games as well as at home. Hopefully he applies that to this game as if we try and shithouse our way through as in previous away games we will likely end up with the same result again.

959 is 59 more than Crewe usually bring to Vale.

I’ve been given a free ticket for this so will be getting the train up from Shrewsbury tomorrow. Be nice to be a neutral and not having to worry when the opponent is on the attack. Reckon it’ll end in a 1-1 draw

Both clubs on Twitter are embarrassing leading up to this game, has anyone seen the state of the videos and comments they’re putting up :ffs:

I`m more confident today than I have been for years. I just hope the ref doesn`t fall for Crewe`s premier league style diving etc.

To be fair your guy on twitter and the website has been digging for days with the Hoofball etc comments... ours just pointed out you were celebrating a draw in your cup final.

Petty though but your official site is run by an idiot. Same every time #valeassasin etc.

Social media bants, laaads. All the official sites learnt it from the social media training day last year. It was after the morning on emoji use.

Dude, it goes further back than that. Remember that Stoke Lose, Crewe Lose tweet your account put out.

Both sides are as bad as each other, don't pretend otherwise.

Edit - Oh and the keyboard warrior threats and hilarious pedophile banter deleted, obviously.

Tight contest, to be honest the best chance for either side has been down to an error back pass! One from then and one from us.

We need to get Ben running at Hunt, had plenty of joy early on down there but haven’t kept up with it.

Fully deserved win that! Second half we were far better than Crewe but seemed as though nothing would fall for us. Karma after their antics not giving us the ball back... the Crewe way!
