I’m sure this time last year Crewe fans were doom and gloom and there was barely a good word for Artell. What’s changed?

I think it was a combination of Artell still being naive with some of his decision making and a couple of poor signings which led to frustration. Some weeks we were winning 6-0, the next we would loose 0-6. The switch of formation to 4-3-3 really helped us turn a corner and the whole team have really been developing for the last 2-3 seasons so it's been something slowly building.

Thought Swindon were an okay side to be honest, you can see they can pass the ball well but Crewe were just better at it. I thought Zakuani was excellent for you. Not really much more to to add, can only really echo the same comments but thought Porter took both his goals really well... he's not got 7 in 14 games which is a decent return.

Genuine question, what did Olly Lancashire do to really pi$$ you all off? Whatever it was, you all really got in his head haha!

Lancashire didn't DO anything specifically, he was club captain but was generally inept and when our form dipped, he was singled out as scapegoat. I think during a midweek game v Cambridge he was getting abuse by our fans and he saw fit to respond. After that he was deemed public enemy no1.

He VERY nearly had a pass across his own box intercepted by Doyle which would have been funny, but would have been undeserved and I'm sure he enjoyed the win and getting to celebrate in front of the home fans, I know this would have made people fume, but I say fair play to him.

Oh and £3.25 for a pint of Landlord went down a treat in the Corner Bar before the game. I always enjoy trips up north as its so cheap compared to drinking in London!

Thought it was an odd reaction from the Swindon fans to boo Lancashire's every touch and chant abuse at him the whole game. It's more the sort of thing you do when your star player leaves for your rival not a dross one. Couldn't imagine us booing someone like Micheal Raynes all game or Ben Nugent, I'd just be released they don't play for us anymore.

As I mentioned above he was club captain but was generally totally useless. I guess the majority of our fans believed he was 'stealing a living' when playing for us and perhaps remembered the time when he decided to 'give some back' to fans.

I personally didn't boo him, FWIW.

But we did (deservedly) boo Harry Davis for similar circumstances. Albeit circumstances that were more extreme than Lancashire's would seem. And yes, seeing that prick score against us was a very horrible experience too so we fans got what we deserved right back off him.

But that's what I love about the game. If you give a player shit, expect it back. And I don't blame Harry (even if I can't stand the tosser) or Lancashire for baiting the fans. It's part and parcel of the game and it'd be a shame to see players get punished for it.

I always remember when we played Torquay in our last promotion season, we all called Rene Howe a fat bastard and he told the fans to kiss his "crown jewels". The ref definitely spoke to him and he may well have been booked for it but banter like that is a fundamental part of the game and we mustn't allow it to ever go away.

You could have just said “He’s our Josh Wright”.

£3.30 a pint in our Supporters’ Club...
