Massive win. Deserved for chances created, should have been out of sight.

But boy did we get lucky at the end. I'm convinced they should have had a penalty in stoppage time. Don't ask me what happened with the reds, it looked like something off green street.

It's not the first time this season where Troy's been wronged and just flipped, although last time I remember he was about to knock someone out he got restrained. Out for four games likely so that's his season over, had we conceded at the end there it would have been a disaster... it's still going to pose a problem.

Meppen the weapon might be fit again soon, hopefully he can fill in for Troy. If not then it's Buddle's chance to make a career for himself.

Ugh I will not be happy if Grainger gets the centre back spot above Buddle, thought he looked pretty nifty when he came on a couple of games ago.

Defence was solid today, Cureton never got a sniff. Restricted Dag & Red's attackers until late on.

Troy will be a big miss though, I'd replace him with CMW/Buddle. Grainger was one of our weaker players again, but O'Hanlon was dominant. Think I'd keep him on next season, improved massively under Curle.

Just to go back to that brawl in injury time. Was anyone else here in the Warwick? When that crowd of players surrounded the fighting players I think it prevented the referee and cameras and most of the others in the stadium seeing just how brutal a fight it was. My memory may be a bit hazy on account of the adrenaline from those crazy final minutes but I could swear I've never seen a fight on a football pitch quite so 'real' before. You know where Andy Capp fights with Flo, and it's just a cloud with arms and legs flying out of it, sort of like that.

Also while it was going on, a load of the larl chores ran to the front of the stand, and one of them chucked a can of beer onto the pitch.

Seen Grainger (I think) get brought to the floor by their attacker, then big Troy came to his rescue. Didn't see too much but believe it was Troy grappling with the Daggers player who was sent off. All the other players crowded round, pushing and shoving. Was funny though.

You and I both know we'll be playing with O'Hanlon and Grainger as a centre-back pairing for the remainder of the season.
We had 3 centre backs today. If we stick with that system it will be Grainger, O'Hanlon and 1 other for the centre back spots.

Yeah, couldn't remember who it was who was dragged down that started it off, I was watching the corner taker and saw that out of the corner of my eye, thought it had maybe been Kennedy. Next thing I knew a fight had started and then it just escalated and escalated. Grainger did get booked for his part in it, as did Ogogo. Troy had Obileye in a headlock at one point and then the commentators reckon they were pushed over and Troy ended up on top and the red card was harsh. Honestly didn't look that way from where I was.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Strange, but important game with a vital win.

We play some atrocious stuff though, we really really are some second re-incarnation of John Becks old sides of the 90's...aimless hoof hoof hoof all game, not even directed at anyone but just whacked up in a wild hope it landed somewhere.

That being said it was one of the most comfortable games i'd seen at 1-0, we frankly dominated the entire game and Dags never even hardly troubled us while we could and really should have been 5-6 goals up during the game, just a lack of quality at the very last part of numerous moves cost us.

In a way i give credit to Curle, a strange 5-3-2 formation used which no one expected, but it was very solid and on whole worked well...........that was until Curle very nearly cost us the game with some horrendous sub tactical changes, taking off Asamoah who had tore them to shreeds all game, then going 5-4-1 ultra deep defensive for the 6 minutes of injury time....suddenly a dagenham side which spent 90 minutes passing ball along back line in their own half was just allowed to walk up around our box and chuck numerous balls in and it easily nearly cost us....why change anything when playing so well???? Utter stupid, I hate his real negativity.

but we hit post, to me a clear goal was not given (over for me) but at same time Dag could have had 2 pens and.....phew i bet we all thought that shot coming off the bar had gone in for them, ucky for us it bounced out.

As I said, we're on a wind down for the summer now. I'm surprised Cousins didn't have a copy of a Thomas Cook holiday brochure with him in goal.

Not that I was there but reports suggest the flip-flops were already on. Well done Carlisle. You're close to being safe now.

I am on my phone but will try and convey the utter hilarity of this match.

1) The wind was a flipping nightmare. We never had a clue how to deal with it.

2) Apologies L2 as Burnett started 4 who haven't been playing and we looked completely disorientated as a result.

3) Make no mistake, Carlisle were poor but we simply did not resemble a football team.

4) The one over the line BigDave speaks of. Never over, I was right in line.

5) The funny part, we never threatened at all yet Carlisle absolutely shat themselves for the final 5 minutes. I was just laughing at how a side in complete and utter control of the game just decided to then give us the freedom of the pitch and defend their box. It made no sense at all. We could have very well had a penalty and then smacked the bar from a scramble. I know wins are hard to come by but seriously, you made that bloody hard for yourself.

Again, apologies Tranmere, Hartlepool and Cheltenham. We were beyond pathetic against a poor side and team selection did not help this. Carlisle, you fully deserved it on effort alone. Big changes needed in the summer for you though

May I say I told you so! Mr Hellogregory must feel really silly predicting relegation tonight! Ronnie needs to do his magic for us after today

With our remaining fixtures I do think we'll go down.

However we have a lifeline now, the 3 points today and everyone else losing has thrown us a huge lifeline. We need one more win to secure but in all honesty our run in is horrendous, starting with a trip to the league leaders on Wednesday. We'll lose the next 3 games, no question about that. It's just case of hoping everyone else continues to lose.

For Pools to worry you we need to be 2 behind you going into that last game, your next 3 are really tough , we've got accy home Luton away Exeter home , if we get 4 and you get 1 it's back to 2, few more twists yet I feel

This is why I still think we're going to be relegated. We've got 3 massively tough matches and we've lost our only decent defender for the season.

I said we needed 6 points from these last 3 games minimum. Had we got them 6, with the way results have gone we'd be safe imo.
We got 4, that's not enough with the zero points fixtures we have left.

Tranmere are now 6 behind you, and I know if is a big word , but if they lose on Tuesday they'd need to win 2 of the last 3 and you to lose them all, I respect your reading of the Carlisle situation and you may not get the " magic" 50 points that is normally needed, but I don't think you'll need 50, I can see Tranmere finishing on 45 or 46 , if Tranmere lose and we win on Tuesday that would be a massive blow for them

That's the worry. Tranmere finishing on 45/46, that would put them above us on goal diff as I expect us to lose the last 4.

We only won today because daggers had absolutely nothing to play for and quite frankly didn't give a shit. We weren't great, we'll have to play much better to get anything from the next 4 games.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I still think we'll go down. I'm glad we're in with a chance of survival though, and that's thanks to other teams fuck ups over our disastrous Easter weekend.

We bottled one big game, and not for the first time, we don't do well in do or die situations, tranny could do us both a big favour by only getting 3 or 4 points

When I say that is one if the worst matches I've seen in the FL, I'm not kidding. Weather conditions obviously don't help with the wind, but it was absolutely atrocious from both teams. Last 5 minutes was the only time it looked like we game a toss, and I can only really echo Lee's points from above.

Wayne's team selection stuffed us and several other teams fighting with Carlisle today. Putting in two full backs who haven't played in months was just ridiculous, and to be quite honest I feel a bit shafted having travelled all that way to be treated to that team selection and that shit. Not pleased, although on balance (what an awful balance) I don't begrudge Carlisle the three points, and I have to say it was quite a pleasant place as well. Hope you stay up, and you should now, but Carlisle away is not an experience I'm willing to repeat anytime soon!

To be fair you did not expect to get another point all season and you already have four.

<hellogregory>Four's still not enough. I thought we'd get none at all so now we've got four I'll revise my prediction and say we've an outside chance of not finishing bottom. But in order to have any chance of surviving we need to get at least 30 points from our last four games, not going to happen.

Put another bet on us to go down this morning, it's literally free money. If we go down I'll be a millionaire now.</hellogregory>

But I didn't. After accrington I said i didn't think we'd get another point. Before the Easter period I thought we'd get a couple more points. We've got 4 since then so it's better than I thought but less than we needed.

It's still not looking fucking good is it with our run of fixtures coming up!

Quite. Got an even better view from where I was stood in the Warwick. The fans were slightly incensed that Labadie didn't pick up a second booking for his part in it. You can see him there, while he doesn't swing for anyone he's clearly not turned up to help diffuse the situation and has a little grab of Troy's head at one point.

It's a much better view of the goal on these highlights too than was on FLS. There was a weird gap of about a second where it looked as though the ball hit the back of the net and no-one could quite believe we'd scored. Although I didn't realise Kennedy had been in front of the goalie, I assumed Kennedy must've been the one who volleyed it from the cross. and it did look like it had gone straight in from the volley. The camera angle on FLS makes it look like a clean volley too, which would have been Brough, and now I realise that viewed from the Warwick it must have looked like it had gone in about a second before it actually went in. weird.
