We have up to 10 senior players out of contract next summer, all high earners. Bryson, Huddlestone & Johnson the only three that I can see sticking around.

We're pretty good at keeping our neck above the FFP line, but if we can do it then surely others can too?

Didn't lose anyone in the end, but neither did we strengthen the squad in any meaningful way. Still desperately in need of a striker -- I'd imagine we'll bring someone in on loan.

So we've essentially stood still, but that is something of a success for a club of our resources in this division in 2018. Unless we're completely gutted in January, I don't think we need to worry about our Championship status this season.

Feel better about this squad now than I did a month or so ago. Expect the players surplus to requirements to go out on loan before the end of August. Lee Evans is apparently joining on a loan to buy deal later in the month, replacing Power. Our next job is to tie Powell, Morsy and Byrne down to new contracts between now and January.
