The mighty Gas travel to east London in good form and in expectation of another 3 points. Hopefully Daggers players are fucked after last nights exertions and won't be able to cope with our high tempo style. 1-4 Rovers with a Taylor hat trick. UTG :box::bdick:etc....

For the sake of balance, I can't see anything other than a Gas loss here.

2-0 Dagenham.

I'm a little wary of this one after last nights result. I think Daggers will be well up for the game having beat Whitehawk to win a place in round 3 of the cup and a glamour tie at Everton.

They're going to be on a high with players desperate to perform well to ensure they keep their place for the trip to Goodison.

However 4 draws and 6 losses is a very poor home record - even worse than ours - so it's another game where the first goal will be very important.

Daggers 2-3 Rovers

On the other hand will their players go all out to win tackles when if they get injured will miss a chance of playing at a Premier League ground which may not happen again in their careers? I've seen it before where a League 2 side is going well in the league only for a plum tie against a Premier League side becomes a distraction and the league form falls apart, i include us in that by the way.

I had a bit of Gas following the game via Twitter last night, that's for sure.

I'm not sure "after the lord mayor's show" is quite the phrase here, D&R fans would have almost as desperately wanted to get through to the next round as Whitehawk, but if the Daggers are not on their game v BRFC they could get comprehensively humped, we rarely lose by big margins but it happened to us after we'd played the previous Tues and Brizzle R hadn't.

I am slightly wary of this one because we tend to struggle in any game where we are fully expected to win.

While Daggers may be on a high after their FA Cup exploits, they will have less than 72 hours recovery time before facing us. It will undoubtedly be a difficult game, but I am so confident these days under DC and with this group of players that I fancy us to get a positive result.

There is absolutely no way we're winning a home game. That's without the 120 minutes on that heavy as hell pitch with the distraction of Everton now looming in January.

I'd say our form will suffer, but that would suggest we'd have some sort of form in the first place.

Popping across to this one. Not sure which Dagenham I'll get to see. The one v Luton where they looked on level ability wise with a Guiseley or Barrow or the one v Plymouth where they actually looked a very decent League Two outfit....

Odds on Jones starting? I personally hope to see Chambers and Pask...

I'm going to go 2-0 Bristol Rovers, Taylor and Lockyer from a corner.

We never score from corners!

If I expect us to win, we lose (expect from York). So a 1-1 draw here for me

Should be winning this bit I thought the same against Newport and Stevenage and lost both games so I'll go for a 1-1

Cracking result that and now up in to the play offs!

I know it's early days, but honestly, relegation to the conference looks like one of the best things that could have happened to us

Can you boys do us a favour and drop Gaffney at the Abbey when you're done with him? Ta!

What a win, excellent stuff. Into the top 7 for Christmas, absolutely delighted with that. Let's see how Wimbledon goes and then two very big home games after that. Delighted to be in the mix though at the moment.

Quite happy with the news that Derry is looking to slimline the squad to be honest, hopefully a couple of wins over Christmas for you lot and we can get Gaffney in permanently.

Fairly even start, as soon as Bristol Rovers went 1-0 up there was only ever one winner. Props to Doidge for an excellent miss at the start of the match. Dagenham are fucked aren't they?

Thing is I don't think he's referring to Gaffney and a couple of others who are in the same boat, ie have dropped down the pecking order but can still offer us something. I think he's talking about the no-hopers, who were given a chance and failed, like Slew and Carr. Then there are the likes of Jeff Hughes and Omuzusi who haven't exactly set any houses on fire even though they were supposed to be an improvement on those they replaced. The latter is currently injured however.

I think Gaffney's situation depends entirely on whether we can keep hold of Williamson for the rest of the season. If we can, then I can see Gaffney staying with you boys.

Probably one of our poorer performances away from home this season but a very good win

Pitch was quite difficult to play free flowing football on. Doesn't look too bad but it was clear the ball wasn't running or bouncing quite how you'd expect. Clarke called it a dead pitch in his post match interview.

We didn't play our best but scored 2 very good goals - the 3rd was a touch fortunate - and secured a vital 3 points. Could have maybe had a couple more in the last 15 minutes when it was clear the Daggers were tiring after their exploits at Whitehawk.

Losing Puddy and especially Sinclair to injuries with the Christmas period upon us is a worry though.

It wouldn't have won any beauty contests, but the only thing that matters is 3 points. In games against relegation strugglers it is always much more likely to end up being a battle as opposed to a proper footballing game, so the fact we stood up, scrapped and showed our quality in attack on top of that was really pleasing.

I'm delighted for Gaffney as he has deserved a goal for his excellent performances since signing, and he took his chance superbly. I really hope we can keep him longer-term, either on a permanent basis or at least until the end of the season. Bodin took his goal well even if it wasn't intended to fall to him and Browner's free kick was a bullet.

As GasAttack says, it is concerning that Sinclair and Puddy were forced off with injuries in the second half. I get the impression Puddy is going to be out for a while once again which is gutting for him, but hopefully Sincs isn't too badly hurt and can play a part on Boxing Day.
