Fuck's sake, feel lucky to win there even though I'm not sure FGR even managed a shot on goal all game. Typical of us this season, with the exception that we weren't punished for it.

That said, from listening on the radio it didn't sound like we were especially wasteful up front, sounded more like we did adequately well with the chances we had and the FGR keeper and one of their defenders made some very good blocks to keep it at 1-0 and Hallam Hope hit the woodwork again.

A clean sheet and 3 points. Happy days but the failure to demolish a team we were dominating highlights how much we need to strengthen up front in January.

Unlucky ChrisFRG.

I told you that only pussy's eat vegan diets, so not only is that you but the whole of your club too.

Your owner, does he still believe that getting promoted from L2 will be easier than getting relegated?

Even though the only vegan player on the pitch was on our team?

Good win to kick off the packed festive period, I'll take a 1-0 win away from home every day.

Been saying this all season and it probably won't change, but we have to follow it up with a win at home. A few wins on the bounce would fire us on the verge of the playoffs but it's been a similar gap all season and we've not took advantage.

Who could it be?

I cant think of any players of ours who wimp out of tackles etc.

No im saying do you think they are pussies for giving a shit? And it’s not so much the eating part that vegan’s see as cruel, it’s what goes on beforehand. Stuff that would make someone like you piss yourself with fear if it was done to you.

And if I wanted to start, I’d start, and there’d be absolutely nothing you could do about it.

We were dreadful, we knew bennet was deadly when he was at Barrow last season but decided to give him all the room in the world. If reggie lambe had better boots on today it could have been 6-0 something needs to change.

And fair play to all the Carlisle fans, great effort. Hope you lot all got home safe!

Yeah it’s our home form that fucking us. It needs to improve ASAP, but I can’t see us winning both of the upcoming. 3 or 4 points would be decent enough.

After game I got talking to a guy who was told that five FGR players will be released in January and that three of the five were selected to play v Carlisle.
Okay it might be pure speculation by that guy, although he quite often seems have inside info, but it could well explain why some of our players did not appear to play their normal game.
And it seems a little bit of de-ja-vu with Mark Cooper who fell out with half his team at same time of year last season. He got rid of practically all of the players who secured second in table previous season and replaced them with a new team that won promotion.

He's been anything but deadly this season, that's only his fourth goal.

You're making shit up, FGR Stroud.
Fuck you and what you think a 'true fan' is. It isn't a brown nosed, servile rat.
Dog, I will on this occasion answer your posts and will win debate without the need of bad language. I suspect your use of offensive language is to strengthen your own personal opinion which is built on a castle of sand.

1. I never said I speak for anyone else.
[You did not make that clear in your first statement.]

2. I never said that Vince doesn't have business sense. He has done a lot of good.
[You seem to be tying yourself up in knots and contradicting yourself regarding Mr Vince.]

3. I never said we will get relegated.
[I refer you to your own words in first statement: “January is going to be a very important month as we hope to continue the shift from totally out of depth to out of depth to something looking like survival form.”
I never remotely referred to relegation.]

You'll have even less affection for us given the soulless shell of a football club FGR now is.
[TNL is one of the best grounds in the EFL for away fans. They are able to watch game from a good view on the touchline and not in a far corner of a stand. They are permitted to bring musical instruments into ground, something that is banned at some other clubs.
Okay this season without a roof is bad but next season will be brilliant.

And to state TNL ‘soulless shell’ is a gross lie by you when there were plenty of supporters in all four sides of ground. Even yesterday during the Carlisle debacle I heard FGR fans singing from the North Stand.]

For your information FGR were destitute before Mr Vince bought club. The club could have folded and been forced to sell off ground to pay off debts. Now under DV they are in the Football League, playing before ten times as many supporters as prior to his take over. DV owns the club and ground but has stated he has a lifetime commitment to club. And should his commitment go pear shaped, FGR would be in no worse position than ten years ago but the fans will have watched some unbelievably good and successful football during that time.

You mention heritage and under DV FGR are creating a new and better and more wonderful heritage. Overwhelmingly the fans of today never knew the black & white era when only a couple of hundred turned up to watch game. Those of that era have generally accepted the changes [you being one of the very few exceptions.] I see fans wearing green shirts at all the games with older supporters of the black & white era wrapping a green FGR scarf around their neck.

If you asked all the thousand of fans whether they would want to go back to black & white you’d get a resounding no. Our greatest successes have been in green and black.

I wonder if you will go for Mark Ellis in January. He’s well down the pecking order here and I’m sure Curle will be desperate to get rid.

FGR Stroud...

<Dog, I will on this occasion answer your posts and will win debate without the need of bad language. I suspect your use of offensive language is to strengthen your own personal opinion which is built on a castle of sand.>

No, it's because you're talking nonsense.

<1. I never said I speak for anyone else.
[You did not make that clear in your first statement.]>

Do you assume I'm a one legged spaceman with a cart horse trading company because I haven't said so?

<2. I never said that Vince doesn't have business sense. He has done a lot of good.
[You seem to be tying yourself up in knots and contradicting yourself regarding Mr Vince.]>

Stop thinking in binary. I've no problem admitting that DV turned a struggling club around. He essentially bought promotion. However, that does not mean all is rosy. It does not mean I hate him. There is more to life than 0 and 1.

<3. I never said we will get relegated.
[I refer you to your own words in first statement: “January is going to be a very important month as we hope to continue the shift from totally out of depth to out of depth to something looking like survival form.”
I never remotely referred to relegation.]>

We are out of our depth and bottom of the table. That doesn't mean we will get relegated, for goodness sake. Please read what I write before jumping off on one.

I'm talking about FGR as an entity, not bricks and mortar. Lol!

<For your information FGR were destitute before Mr Vince bought club. The club could have folded and been forced to sell off ground to pay off debts. Now under DV they are in the Football League, playing before ten times as many supporters as prior to his take over. DV owns the club and ground but has stated he has a lifetime commitment to club. And should his commitment go pear shaped, FGR would be in no worse position than ten years ago but the fans will have watched some unbelievably good and successful football during that time.>

No. You're flat wrong. FGR were facing possible administration and Trevor Horsley wanted to sell. There is no evidence the club would have had to sell the ground.

You also fail to understand the ground situation. FGR owns TNL. Ecotricity owns FGR and DV is the sole shareholder in Ecotricity. Doesn't that house of cards worry you a little?

Ten times as many supporters? 10x1000 isn't 2,500. You need to get back to the Robins Nest.

<You mention heritage and under DV FGR are creating a new and better and more wonderful heritage. Overwhelmingly the fans of today never knew the black & white era when only a couple of hundred turned up to watch game. Those of that era have generally accepted the changes [you being one of the very few exceptions.] I see fans wearing green shirts at all the games with older supporters of the black & white era wrapping a green FGR scarf around their neck.>

I have accepted the change, but it doesn't mean I approve of it. I'm not the only one by any extent. Noticed what the lads behind the goal sing? I agree that DV can create heritage too, but here's the rub... You have no understanding of what FGR was prior to 2010. To you, it is just words in a book.

<If you asked all the thousand of fanswhether they would want to go back to black & white you’d get a resounding no. Our greatest successes have been in green and black.>

Really? Two playoff finals?

Your comment proves my point directly above. What about two other Wembley final seasons, a FA Trophy final at Villa Park. Two successive promotions? Guess you didn't know about those.

Seriously, be more than a mouthpiece. You won't win anything for doing so.

Is FGR Stroud OTC from the Robin's Nest?

I only ask because there really can't be two of them can there?

I agree FGR should go back to the days when they had their own identity... And Barcelona's badge.

Barcelona copied us. Fact.

Any luck in the clunge department yet Carvs? Don't wanna be single for Christmas.

OTC posts on our forum using that name, presumably he is the same as the one who posts on Robin's Nest...I don't think he is bright enough to chose another name, if he posted on here he would call himself OTC.

Harsh.

OTC's a good lad from what I know, remember he got an award for all his work with the away travel last season didn't he? Clubs need fans like him.

Lol! That's made my day. But to echo Si, surely there can't be another FGR supporter so totally naive as to the club's history. I'm far from convinced it's anyone else. But my commiserations to them if it is the case.

Clubs need fans like him.

I know you don't like him (I use Robins Nest too) but you gotta give credit where credits due, he clearly dedicates time and effort into volunteering/supporting the club with away travel etc. A lot of the coach users inc the young lads that travel everywhere all like him. Clubs at this level need people like that helping out, it makes a difference imo.

That's something he deserves a bit of respect for, right?

I don't dislike him, I just find him amusing. He probably gives shelter to homeless kittens, hedgehogs who have lost their spikes and helps old ladies across the road outside of the council offices. Good for him. However, nobody who abandons one club experiencing a downturn to jump on the bandwagon of another (local) club gets any respect from me. Look closely at his hat. You can still see the shadow of that CTFC badge.

I don't dislike him, I genuinely feel he's mainly on the wind-up on the Nest, and plenty of the numpties on there bite to it.

Some of the things he posts to show how FGR are doing so much better than Cheltenham are crazy (FGR attendances being bigger than Cheltenham's for example). It adds to the crap, and completely unnecessary, rivalry that appears to be developing between the two clubs.

I wish I could say he's on the wind-up, but he isn't. You've only got to hear him on a match day to realise this. Yes, he really is that much of a numpty.

Apparently he was banned from our forum for posting racist comments after the Brexit vote, personally I can't tolerate racism and don't want that sort of thing associated with my club.
