Worthy of it's own thread.

I'm not usually one for superhero gubbins, but this is shit hot.

On episode 9, and as soon as my new telly arrives on Tuesday (The old Panasonic croaked it) I'll be binging the rest.

Anyone else a fan?

Yes. I've only got the last two episodes to go, and as it goes on I only find myself loving it more and more. Superb series and so different to the other MCU content out there. I've always said that comic books would be best adapted via TV series rather than movies and Daredevil has gone a long way to suggesting that this theory is correct.

Watched the first two episodes over a couple of weeks. I've enjoyed them but haven't felt compelled to watch them back-to-back, which isn't a criticism of the show, btw. I'm a big fan of Charlie Cox, he was great in Boardwalk Empire.

Happy to see it got renewed for a second season, too.

Just watched the last two episodes, good finish to a superb season.

It reminded me a lot of WWE with the fact that it spent an entire season building up to what would obviously be a one on one between Daredevil and Fisk, and that moment certainly delivered. Epic battle, even though you always knew Daredevil was going to come out on top. Can't wait for season 2, if only to get to see more of him in the proper Daredevil attire! :o

Yep, they've commissioned a second season. Hopefully Bullseye will make an appearance.

Finished this yesterday, really enjoyable watch throughout the season. It's pretty much a 13 hour superhero film and it manages to remain interesting the whole length of time, whereas a lot of the films fail to do that in two hours. The action scenes are great.

Thought i'd throw this in here as it's kinda linked. First pic from the new Jessica Jones (they dropped the AKA) series. Luke Cage:

Season 2 is on! I'm half way through so no spoilers please. How's everyone finding it? The fight scenes seem to be up to the same standard as the previous season.

I'm up to E7, it's exceeded expectations so far.

Jon Bernthal is nailing it as Punisher. Such a great screen presence. Charlie Cox is an underrated actor too, it's some job he does on this show.

I like daredevil but some of the fight scenes could be a lot better imo, in terms of fluidity they are great but some of the hits look obviously weak yet the enemy drops like hes been hit by Mike Tyson.

Jon Bernthal was the highlight of the season for me. He was an excellent Punisher and his scenes with Daredevil were my favorites. Plus the staircase fight was awesome.

Finished it on Sunday, staircase fight was incredible, Punisher was pretty much perfect, Elektra very well done.

WILSON FISK!! HOLY CRAP!! Really wasn't expecting Fisk this season maybe a mention or two of him or something setting up for next season but his scenes were incredible and probably my favourite character this season after Punisher, given his screen time in comparison it says enough.

May have just been me but the hand didn't really excite me as I couldn't really see them as a big bad, Nobu had already been defeated by Daredevil last season, yes add a lot of ninjas but still, didn't really feel the stakes in the finale. Also this was pretty much my feelings towards Nobu after he got off up from being chucked from the roof before he dies

Season 3, hopefully we see Bullseye, Statham yes would be fantastic or 'budget Jason Statham' Andrew Howard could do a good job imo. Think next season Fisk's influence needs to start extending beyond the prison and maybe end of S3 sees his escape/release. However given they've got Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Defenders, Jessica Jones S2 and rumoured a Punisher season we may not see Daredevil S3 for a few years.

Well I've just finished it and I found it to be better than season 1 mainly because they've added more better characters. "The Hand" were a bit stale/boring but other than that I very much enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this, but I didn't find it as good as Season 1

I felt Season One was clean, very simple and focused. The heroes/good guys trying to take down one big bad guy who was menacing and dangerous as fuck. Season One was pretty much perfect. However, I felt that Season Two came around too soon. It didn't give them an idea of how to properly develop certain storylines and I felt that, after a strong start, it dropped away and became a little disappointing towards the end. For me, the first 4-5 episodes with the Punisher as the main bad guy/villian(and I know he isn't a villian, but bear with me) to Daredevil was superb. Bernthal was amazing as the Punisher. However, once he got caught and locked up, I felt things dropped off somewhat. Elektra was good, but for me, this season should have focused on one or the other, not both. The season lost focus once Punisher took a back seat and Elektra became more prominent. I wasn't invested in the Hand storyline and this whole big bad threat to the city. The end reveal was poor, with her being the Black Sky. Felt like you had to be an avid Daredevil comic book reader to grasp this Black Sky/The Hand storyline.

They left a lot unanswered that I really hoped they would address. The huge hole in the ground in that building, what was that about? I thought Stick reported to someone higher, yet now apparently he's the head of the Chaste? The underground lair that was draining people of their blood? Those people and how they wanted to go back to the Hand and get redrained? How did the Hand bring people back from the dead in that giant chamber thing? That whole plot line just got very confusing.

The way the Blacksmith storyline with the Punisher played out was not well thought out. Felt the reveal of it being the Colonel was a bit "meh". The way the Punisher was used in the latter half of the series was disappointing, lost interest in him by the end. Same with Elektra, had no investment in her as a character. She was a badass and interesting to start with, but the whole Hand/Stick/Chaste thing undercut her emotional appeal when you realise her actions aren't just her, its due to Sticks direction.

I liked the reintroduction of Fisk, he added something, him smashing Matt Murdock in jail, fighting with Punisher and him slowly rebuilding up his power base, finishing with his possible suspicion that he knows who DareDevil is is something that I thought was well done. Hope he finds a way to get out of jail and comes after Murdock in Season 3.

My biggest issue with Season 2 was that I felt the writers were rushed into making another season and they made the mistake that often comes with that in that they felt they needed to up the ante. More action, more characters, more story-lines. But all that does, when it isn't given time to develop, is create more confusion.

I know I've just ripped it to pieces, but all that said, I did enjoy the series. Some of the action sequences were superb, I like the Punisher and Elektra, just wished they'd been the main focus in separate seasons, not the same one. Charlie Cox knocks it out of the park as Daredevil, he is an amazing actor and he's masterfully moulded the character. Foggy and Karen were ok in secondary roles and Fisk still being introduced on the quiet was a nice touch.

Just wasn't as good as Season One. Its good, but a clear step blow for me. Would just like a break now to give the franchise time to breath, for other characters(Luke Cage, Iron Fist etc) to get set up. Maybe don't bring Daredevil back until after the Defenders series.

I read somewhere that The Defenders has to be filmed by a certain date so they're on the clock and with Luke Cage and Iron Fist to do first with the potential for Jessica Jones S2 as well, Daredevil S3 before The Defenders is unlikely I think.

I think I enjoyed S2 more than S1. Eps 1-4 were the best because of the focus on Daredevil-Punisher.

A 13 hour superhero story could easily get tedious but it doesn't. Well acted and well made. Just an enjoyable watch. Definitely find DD more captivating than Jessica Jones - that was alright but I stopped at E4 and haven't been in a rush to go back. I've ended up binge watching DD both seasons now.

I have only just gotten around to watching this so haven't really read any previous posts so as to avoid any spoilers.

Finished season 1 and loved it. Not much of a superhero fan but this has got me hooked. Vincent D'Onofrio was fantastic as Kingpin.

Just started season 2 and almost came at the Punisher's entrance.

The issue I have with Daredevil is that the main character is the least interesting of the lot. I just can't get on board with him.

I can get on board with that, but I think they spread the screen time out so well between the characters it's not as big an issue as you'd expect.
