Because he has high level coaching badges experience of the coaching set up of a FL side when he was at Peterboro. He will great contacts too with the influence of his father. Not many coaches in the Evo Stik would have had experience of working at a League One Club. He ticks all the right boxes for me to be a success.
Struggling to be too impressed by that really. Having coaches and managers from higher up is pretty par for the course even far down the pyramid.
Strachan may turn out to be a great coach but it won't necessarily be based on having L1 experience. Our manager Martin Gray has played in the Championship and L1, and coached in L1 & 2. One of our coaches Sean Gregan was a fantastic championship player, and so on. Not forgetting our assistant manager Brian Atkinson who has played at the top level, for England U-21s and in an FA Cup Final.
