Game should go ahead as it’s not too bad in Derby, but I’ve got a shit load of snow here in Matlock. Going to be a lot of people who can’t make it today, or aren’t prepared to risk it....especially with more snow forecast.

Anyway obvious defeat given everyone is injured. Derby 0-2 Cardiff

Game is off. Police have called it off due to the surrounding areas.

Perfect for us. We might actually have some players fit for the rearranged tie.

Cardiff will no doubt be moaning, but it’s not great up here this morning. Main roads in the city aren’t too bad, but all side roads in bad state as well as pavements. Local bus services are limited and you have to consider being able to get staff, security, stewards, catering staff, and suchlike there for around 9.00/9.30. My parents live ten miles north of Derby and it’s far worse - you have to consider we have a lot of support around Derbyshire and beyond, not just the city.

I suspect the main issue was it being a noon kick off. If it was 3.00pm it may have been different.

Must be with the Cardiff fans in mind too, they’re due for a lot more down there.

Pride Park looks fine tbh, both the megastore and the restaurant are normal working hours, encouraging people to go down.

Done us a big favour. No Vydra, Lawrence, Ledley or Thorne. Davies, Johnson, Nugent and Jerome all carrying knocks. Depending on when this gets rearranged for, we might even have Huddlestone back from his ban.

I remember not so long back we called a game off against Derby County on safety grounds, it coincided with us having a massive injury list, Derby were apoplectic with rage that we’d used the weather as an excuse to buy time to get players fit...

Seems it isn’t an issue when the boot is on the other foot :tw::dk:

This is the beast from the east mate, not that slight sprinkling of powder you had at yours.

That doesn't say it was a police decision either to be fair.

The plot thickens...:pond:

Think it was James on here at the time, he virtually had to go into councelling when we called the game off in adverse conditions such was his rage levels!!!

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Derby interestingly also tweeting that the club shop was open, inviting fans to pop in despite the postponement (hastily deleted!) :lol:IMG_20180318_145851.jpg

Seems a bit odd

Didn't say it was, just posting what the EFL have to say on the matter.

I think the only issue here is that it wasn't called off earlier. Should have been done last night, the predictions were there already for the snowfall.
It's bad down their end, bad up in the peaks where a lot of our support, staff and players live. I don't think it's beyond the realms of common sense tbh.

I couldn't get off our courtyard at 8am this morning so I'm happy.

Yeah that was just silly, we did the same with The Yard restaurant too which is situated in the ground, that has now closed.

I have no recollection of this, and given I expect us to lose every single game we play I doubt I’d have given a shit to be perfectly honest.

Imagine how many games would get called off if they did it before the forecasted weather. They don’t always get it right, do they?

You know you're a big club when your megastore has it's own twitter page. Fair play Derby.

Of course not but it was bad last night, should have knocked it on the head then rather than letting the Cardiff fans get a couple of hours into their journey IMO.

Nah, fuck em.

The meltdown on Twitter from the Welsh twats today has been hilarious.

Be even better if we stuff them in the rearranged fixture with Huddlestone getting a hat trick.

Now that was a fucking pisstake. Remember driving up with a few mates and the radio announcing that the game was going ahead then half hour later it being called off. Got home about 3am. Merry Christmas.

Still hate Newcastle now.

As if the fact that we had Newcastle away for a 7.45 kick off days after Christmas wasn’t a big enough piss take.

Video of Sean Morrison on Twitter having a pop at a couple of Derby players, of course this has resulted in a lot of crying coming from supporters from a certain club....

Hold on a sec  After all those sand in vagina tears over the called off game from you lot? Not having that.

The way your club has conducted itself over the last few weeks has been embarrassing.

Don't believe me? Have a look on Twitter mate your lot are losing their heads over it. Just as bad as the wet wipes on our end that cried a couple of weeks back. I just find it all humorous.
Oh and the best bit about it all? Morrison is close mates with all of the players mentioned!
