It almost certainly won't look like that, at least at first, as that is a representation of the 20,000 plus capacity stadium.
The initial build is for 10-11,000. I think one stand will be built to its full future capacity - one of the side ones with executive boxes, conferencing facilities etc. The other three stands will be smaller.
Details will emerge sooner or later but I'd be surprised if the delay caused by the ex-Mayor hasn't put some pressure on financing.
I don't really care what it looks like though; we are going back to Plough Lane in a stadium all of our own
It will all depend on how much finance we can raise. The delay caused by the ex-Mayor calling in the application has caused prices to rise and costs to increase - we all want the stadium to look like that but it's not without challenge
Plough Lane had two good ends but two shitty non-league sides.
Just sayin'.
Gresty Road was a bit of a dump,I agree. The South Stand was a truly a thing of wonder. It was already second hand when we bought it from Orient in 1923. Nowhere near as shitty an experience as standing on the Railway End at Gresty Rd in the 1980s though.
We clearly have different information, but OK. I hope so
Two years after planning consent was given by Merton Council, the s106 agreements have finally been signed.
We're going home.
Pleased for the Wimbledon fans looking forward to seeing the pitch
