It's a shame they're such an abomination of a club because they've actually gone about building their squad in a very admirable way. Plenty of academy graduates, some smart transfer dealings and an attractive brand of football.

The Franchise won't be darkening our door next season, result. If someone other than Stevenage can win the League 2 play offs it will be good news all round in terms of League 1 opposition next season.

It had to happen sooner or later. That fat scouse fuck has finally managed to get a team promoted. He's had one of the biggest budgets in the league for the past 6 or 7 years!

Hate the way that he's looked upon in the press as some kind of genius!

However, I'm happy for Scummy. Thats all I have to say.

Agreed - will never forget where they came from, especially as I have been a Wimbledon Season Ticket holder since the 80s! But as we all know, the league table never lies. Oldest club or not - if you finish in the bottom 4 you go down. Likewise, at the top...

Well done Dons, and congratulations to Scummy and all the other MK lot on here. That was an epic run-in effort (and hopefully put Preston on a proper downer) and all the best in the Championship.

This is how I feel about them. At some point everybody (including myself) needs to let go and get over the fact they're essentially a stolen football club.

Well done. Robinson finally proves he's a decent manager and gets a promotion in his CV. Could genuinely see them at the top end of the Championship next season.

Why should people 'at some point' forget about how they came about?

To a (clearly) much less extent it's like saying 'at some point people should forget about what an evil man Adolf Hitler was and get over the fact he was essentially a multi-murdering fascist scumbag'

Clearly my point is extreme and almost ludicrous but if you allow this sort of nonsense to happen, we may as well become fucking America, where plasticness and Franchiseness is the norm.

Karl Robinson has finally stopped being a colossal failure then.

Absolutely.

It was wrong when it happened, it's still wrong now and always will be wrong. The passing of time does nothing to change that.

Comparing the moving of a football club to attempted genocide/world domination is rather extreme.

Leave them to it and focus on your own club . You wouldn't be half as bothered if you had gone up, too.

As much as I hate the way they came to be and got their place in the football league you can't knock what they have done this season, a couple of times this season it looked as though they had blown it, but give them their due they have stuck in there and their latest run has been fantastic.

Would you let it go if it were your club's place they took in the Football League?

It wasn't right then and it still isn't right today. No passage of time will ever change that.

I did say it was an extreme comparison and sorry but it's nonsense to say I wouldn't be bothered if we had gone up. I don't like how they came about whether we are in the championship, league 1 or wherever. It was wrong at the time and continues to be wrong.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course and that is mine. I am focussed on my own club, my thought on today have been made in our league thread

Also, I'd like to say they have a good young manager and I have been very impressed with what they have achieved on the pitch this season.

Still. It's only taken them 13 years to take the club back to where they got it from.
Call that progress? :bg:

I'm genuinely pleased for the MK fans that I've come to know. As for the club, even the MK fans know my feelings.

I can't stay that they've not deserved promotion this season.

Cheers Tom, decent bloke as mentioned yesterday, you're credit to your club.
