East Midlands league - half-term report

So our own mini-league in the East Midlands has seen Northampton replace Chesterfield after respective relegations for both.

Slightly skewed as the battle of the black and white stripes takes place on Saturday.

So as it stands -

Mansfield P4 W3 D1 L0 - 10
Lincoln P4 W2 D2 L0 - 8
Northampton P4 W0 D2 L2 - 2
Grimsby P3 W0 D2 L1 - 2
Notts Co P3 W0 D1 L2 - 1

However, i'm sure Lincoln will take greater satisfaction in their actual league position!

Lincoln won't care a jot , they're going up.
We've been pathetic, even the point against Northampton was a goalless draw and we never had a shot on goal.

Well, I'm not comfortable with the league name but if anyone thinks for one second we are gonna pass up the opportunity for an incredibly petty combined thread with Lincoln, Stags and Notts then they really don't know us.

I think to make the scoring a bit fairer you should maybe count FA Cup results against East Midlands teams too with say, 5 points for a home win and 10 for an away win.

Now we won at Chesterfield which means, let’s just work this out,....... wow would you believe it, were top with 12 points!
