I'm wondering whether Orient should be invited as honorary members of the CUFC league, since the CUFC clubs all share Jabo in common and he is the official patron of the league, perhaps his first and most loved club should be a part of his special little group.

That's an excellent idea. Will make winning the cup harder but that mostly concerns your lot and Col U. In our case, it should be handy in not finishing bottom.

Those all pale into insignificance though compared to the Non League Brotherhood table.

Nah, that Brotherhood thingy is a load of tosh, and deffo not as importantt as the ELCT is (the ex league club table).

Tis a pity that some of us weren't around back in the early 80's as I bet the re-election league table was great fun for all involved

It was really an old boys (who you knew) network of a voting system.
I'm sure that we always attracted many votes because we were not too far from anywhere, therefore travelling costs were reduced...

In other cases, clubs would allegedly vote against other clubs in their region as they hoped to extend their fanbase. That (Workington fans will tell you) is the reason why we voted against their re-election and Barrow's

A laudable idea, but relaxing the rules on the Jabo Technicality would legitimise the future involvement of Franchise, and that’s a risk I’m not prepared to take.

Perhaps you can make use of Stevenage? They’ve been around for years; it’s probably time for someone to give meaning to their existence.

The NLB is only for MASSIVE clubs who find themselves exiled from their true home of the football league. Guess it didn't apply to you in 1919.

Current members are Wrexham, Notts County, Stockport, Hartlepool, Chesterfailed, Torquay and Halifax. I'm assuming Yeovil's stay in the FL was too short for them to be admitted to the brotherhood. I think York and Darlington are classed as associate members because they aren't in the conference national.

The current Brotherhood members are: Wrexham, Notts, Chesterfield, Hartlepool, Torquay, Stockport and York. What division they're in in non league is irrelevant.

FC Halifax are a phoenix club so automatically exempt (and probably too small to be part of such an illustrious group). Also, Darlo and Chester.

And yes you are right about Yeovil.

I think to say you were Jabo's first club, and still a club whose results he looks out for is enough to make it clear that you're the only ones for whom such an exception could be made. If you asked Jabo if he could admit any other team to the CUFC league then I'm sure it would be Orient.
