We were always going to finish tenth.

You are welcome although dont get too excited, you'll be in this division next season. Ready for your relegation season that follows every time Halifax flirts with the play offs.
Like last season, huh? :woot:

Makes you realise what we've missed not having Thomas or Dennis running in behind the defenders.

For sure. Knight looks absolutely rapid, which is a useful new thing to have.

Thought we played well throughout there really, but Woking having a ridiculous height advantage on set pieces made it interesting.

Last season doesn't count.

Weren't you saying Halifax were rubbish a few weeks back? I haven't been following but wasn't it a whole thing with BTTF?
He talks a load of shit! He thinks talking us down makes him profound, in some way. He's just a miserable twat, like most of our fans. :ds:

We actually deserved to win that, Fat Arse in goal makes a fantastic save on the line at 2-2, then we have a stonewall penna waved away, Oates in goal never had a shot to save.

Really happy after that.
Last season,we must have had 20 pens(Luke James winning most of them).
This season we’ve one & that today was a stonewaller,
If I was DC I’d be throttling that ref at full time.
Anyway great point considering, but Killip should have been subbed straight away,it was obvious he was into pain to continue.

Literally didn't even know we had them next. It'll have been circled in their diaries for months, always the biggest game of their season.
I think it's cute that you want to believe that. :bdick:

Jimmy knowles with the hat-trick, well in lad! we’ve only scored 3 in the last 5 games so good to see him doing well and good for his confidence.

Be interesting to see what happens with him in the summer, think he’s out of contract at your place. He’s very much a project, but got potential.

Depends what league you’re in bud, if you’re back in the league would you be starting with him? he’s a likeable lad and he hope he makes it, certainly can’t be any worse than the “forwards” we’ve got. If you’re still down here then he might be worth taking on.

We appear to have bellyflopped over the line to safety with no-one in the bottom doing much, be interesting to see if clough takes a punt on him should he be interested, or be more inclined to stop with you should you offer him something

You’ve seen more of him than me of late, good enough for a regular start in the league?

Today summed up the season, clueless and gutless an absolute shambles. How McMahon is still in a job after all this I will never know. Furloughed them all and call it off.

Nah, definitely not to the last bit. He’s too inconsistent and lightweight - hence why he’s not starting regularly for us really (that said, I think we’ve underused him this season). He’s pretty quick and a good finisher, though, which will be enough to mean he has a successful career in the league long term I would be think. Whether he can go any further will depend on him developing the rest of his game.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we tried to sign him - fits the profile of what we’re likely to be signing under our owners and Burchnall.

Bennett equalising is it? Classic
Poolies should be on their knees thanking us, sacking our promotion-winning manager so they can go above us, gifting them the no10 they've been crying out for. What more can we do to help our Brothers

Notts must be favourites now. Theirs to lose.
At no point has it ever felt like a promotion season. We've stuttered, struggled to create chances, have glaring weaknesses in the squad and until today not been free scoring.
I'd be amazed if we went up as champions and very surprised to go up via the playoffs.
I fancied Hartlepool before a ball was kicked and still do, or Stockport.

Dull but effective football this. At least when we're back in the ground I'll be able to go queue for a beer by now

He's a tidy finisher and after this season's over he'll have toughened up so maybe.

To be fair, despite the Brotherly generosity, he's still only ever gonna be playing second fiddle, I doubt he'll start unless Oates or Armstrong are out, but I've been impressed with him so far, wins a lot of the ball in the air and seems comfortable with it at his feet, would've got us the winner today with another good header if not for Chunky in goal for Boreham Wood.

This game was always going to mean more to Stones fans than Barnet, but how fitting to give them a 5-1 spanking in front of stands literally built by our fans. Just a shame we couldn't be there to fill them.

It's days like today you remember how a member of Harrow Council laughed in the face of one of our officials when they decided to back the duplicitous narcissist TK instead of their own local club, and were told that one day soon the two clubs might be 1 level apart. And here we are, peers, and walloping them with a rag tag bunch of loanees, freebies and kids. Up the fucking Stones!

I love the way everybody is trying to convince everyone else that they have no chance of winning this league, it’s going to be interesting for us neutrals to see how it’s going to pan out.

Title race looks to be hotting up nicely. There must a few arses nipping down Sutton now.
I think the 2 games against Barnet should yield 6 points and about +10 goal difference. Avoid defeat against Torquay, Notts and Torquay and they’ll be fine.

I still believe we’re very much in the driving seat. Although I also believe (and have been saying the whole time we’ve been top, around about a month) that the league is far from done.
The last few fixtures were always going to be difficult so I’m more than pleased that a) we’re unbeaten in over 2 months in the league, and b) we’re still top and we’re top after Easter.

Only half watching this but it's the same patterns over and over. Tidy playetc but just no real dyanmic football. Bromley are just soaking it up really and reading it all. One goal for either side could well win it from where I'm perched.

Yeah, even today you could see why we’re too erratic to get close to Sutton. Something realistic clearly to play for in second or third, though, and in the play-offs I think we’d have as much chance as anyone.
