Which of your squad played last night do you consider a kid?

You don't need to be a Town fan to work this out but I'll indulge the obvious question

Ndaba
Clements
El Mizounio
Dobra
Humphreys

Another 4 starters were not in our best 11, too, and only Woolfy survived from the opening game.

Quite low squad numbers for youths through me off.

15 - Ndaba - 21 years old
33 - Clements - 20 years old
16 - El Mizounio - 20 years old
14 - Dobra - 20 years old
30 - Humphreys - 22 years old

Conversely
44- Donacien is 27 years old.

Realistically of those players, Dobra and perhaps Mizounio will be sparingly from the bench. The others won't feature in the league.

Donancien will hopefully be backup if we can get our defensive targets (still unclear who these are).

Reads like we were on top until the 70 minute mark, then both sides made pre-planned changes and Shrewsbury wrestled control back.

Montsma went off because his shoulder popped out so hopefully not too much damage there.

Good to get minutes into the likes of Sanders, Monstma, Scully, Bishop, Fiorini etc.

Whenever I hear of shoulders popping out, I always think of Lee Beevers who really struggled with his. Only listened to the game but yep sounds like we played well for 70 minutes. Teddy Bishop got rave reviews. Lack of defensive options were shown with Montsma going off. Can't afford that in the league - hello TJ (hopefully). Encouraging signs are there from the opening 2 games with a number of what you'd expect first XI to come in. Like last season, our young squad and lack of experience shows when a couple are missing as we can struggle to wrestle back momentum when on the back foot. This was our big advantage under DC with his brand of 'game management'. Not too disappointed to be leaving the competition as the JPT offers more financially. Best of luck in the next round Shrews.

Again shows how limited we are defensively at the moment having to play a transfer listed player at CH. Then when Montsma went off with a shoulder dislocation playing a primarily RB in his place. We have issues at CH again Saturday. Even Bridcutt has been playing at CH in pre season.

2-3 players lined up over the next week though according to MA.

First half was a bit of a non show. Two poor teams struggling to create any real chances.

First 25 minutes of the second half was all Lincoln and deserved to go two ahead (could have been more if it wasn’t for Marosi). Then as soon as Cotterill introduced Udoh and moved Bennett into CM there was only one team threatening.

Udoh getting two goals from the bench (second was a decent turn and finish), turned the game on its head. Only one team looking like the likely winner onwards.

We still need atleast 4 new players but I really enjoyed last night and definitely didn’t expect to progress when I saw that we couldn’t even put out a full bench.

Everton, Newcastle or Villa away would do me nicely next

Evans got sent off, all is good
I don't blame him on his reaction as the challenge that lead to the red card ( yellow would have sufficed) was horrendous, and was deserving of a red.

Yeah but Evans reacts to every challenge like his players have been carved in half

I was in the Arsene Wenger position for the foul that caused Evans to lose his rag but from what I could see Crawley's players foot was on the floor as he slid in so not sure about a red for it...was a late lunge though so definitely seen them given.

That was a decent game to watch though. Good chances for both sides and some good defending too. Played hard but mostly fair. I've missed that.

Not sure how good a team you had out but we had 2 or 3 players making their proper football debuts. The keeper (he may have had a game before), the big centre half and the left midfielder.

By the by. We used to shout " You fat bastard" to Evans when he was Crawley's manager. He will always be divisive but he has a lot of friends around the club still.

Good luck for the next round and the season.

Cheltenham at home, about as boring a draw we could get, sure Cheltenham thinking the same
But it's a chance of making the 3rd round

Genuinely can't see anyone being bothered to make the trip.

Given the distance in a cup no-one really cares about, on a Tuesday night, I can't think of a less enthusing draw.

Leeds away, for once a decent draw. We will get spanked but should be a big crowd and a good atmosphere.

So come on lads. Who should have got the red card here. White or Blue? Easy to be biased, but how on earth Callum Johnson in white is deemed to have made a challenge that is worthy of a 3 match ban, yet the Millwall lad is clearly lunging for the ball

Play it safe and give both a red card.
