We lost 3-0 at home to Swindon and fielded what looked like a stronger team than the one we fielded against Wimbledon on Saturday. :dk::2thumb:
I watched on iFollow and can confirm Argyle were dreadful - we could have doubled the score with no complaints. Had 5 fringe players and 2 returning from long term injury so, all in all, a good work out.

Cant read too much into it as Argyle looked like they really couldn’t be arsed.

We're going to get Newcastle U21s, it's written in the stars. Heaven help us.

Sounded it, which was a surprise given that in the second half we had a 17-year old in central midfield being partnered by his U18 coach.

The first XI, bar Eardley who played 45 minutes, trained in the morning and had their feet up last night.

Oh we’re out on penalties.

I’m so disappointed.

Bastards, you even let us score at Kenilworth road for like the first time in 15 years and the first 'win' since 1964. Might have to scrub it though as I still don't know whether this competition counts as a competitive fixture.

I fully expect us to get knocked out tonight. We've got of our senior players with knocks so their backups have been playing. Expect a very inexperienced side tonight. Not sure what Southend are going to do. Looking forward to Dan Smith getting a chance up front. got 12 in 16 games out on loan in non league, looks a good prospect as well as the young right back Mnoga and giant CB Matt Casey. All products of the academy. Last ever Pompey appearance for Danny Rose who had a massive impact in us winning League 2 and the first half of last season.

How funny that Pompey & Sunderland were kept apart......

So Sunderland at home in the semi's then. Gotta feel for the Sunderland squad/fans as we're playing them at home on the Saturday & Tuesday. I wonder if the team will just stay down south?

At least we'll make it onto Sunderland 'till I die season 2 now. Going international :cool1:

It's been moved to the 5th March apparently, which was when we were due to try playing Accrington Stanley again.
