To be frank if we get any more injuries (and it's already August), we'll end up closer to 21st than first

Ryan Johnson is still the weak link, they targeted him and his error for there goal but we’ve been superb since. Our interchanging positions is causing Bolton loads of problems, Cass is appearing all over the place.

Love Garrity too, he’s literally like a dog with a bone.

Hopefully keep it up and DC will have some tough decisions to make.

Get the likes of Conlon off at half time now. He's got the half of action he needed and now need to give Jake some minutes. Be looking to get Lloyd on for at least half an hour regardless.

Lloyd needs to work hard, Amoo has looked alright in this experimental striker role! Should of had another as well.

Bolton playing full strength? We’ve made 8 changes? The only players that are starters now in that team are Santos and Doyle. Then maybe Isgrove but he wasn’t starting until bakayoko got injured. None of the rest start?? Gilks, Baptiste, delfouneso are all back up/rotation this season. We are missing Joel Dixon, Jones, Johnston, Declan John, Mj Williams, Sheehan, Sarcevic, Dapo and Bakayoko.

We looked fine until we scored then we just stopped playing. Vale haven’t looked a bad side mind but we have been so sloppy. Evatt will be giving them an absolute bollocking at half time.

Seems a bit slow to process what's in front of him, that's why I have Dan Jones way ahead of him at LCB at the moment.

Yeah that's why I had my doubts about him making the step up. His reading of the game isn't great but he wasn't that bad on the ball as the LCB for us. Great in the air though and strong as owt, I do think Byrne who we signed from FC Haliphoenix is an upgrade.

We're getting all we really needed tonight regardless, result is an irrelevance to be honest. Some minutes for Tom Conlon and James Gibbons and now Jake Taylor for about 30 odd minutes. Would have rather we had an academy lad on the bench so as not putting Worrall at any risk though.

Frustrating, didn’t deserve to lose that and were excellent, if we can make 7 changes though and put in that level of effort and performance then we won’t go far wrong this season.

That's the thing that is going to stop him going on to play higher up the pyramid his general awareness of what's around him and decision making.

Regardless though tonight is a success. Time on the pitch for all our returning players, no injuries and may exit at the group stage now.
