Shame virtually none of those fans ever actually bother going to league games eh? Which is what really counts.

Plastic daytrippers are nothing to be that proud of. Most of them would struggle to name 3 of your players.
Wassup Chris, money can't buy you fans, huh? :fl::fl::fl::£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£

That's lucky for you then, cos you haven't got any money or any fans. Amazing that so many from your region turn up for a tinpot jamboree but hardly any do for important league games.

You're average was only 200 more then Dulwich Hamlet.:fl:

You've found your level.

There just aren't very many of them.

And if you ignore the spitting. And the racism. And the constant abuse of officials and opposition.

They wont be missed.

Well yes I have been spat at, at the Shay in the 1980's by a moron with Yorkshire tattooed on his neck but he got arrested after having a scolding hot pie shoved in his face and that was an isolated incident. Racist, I've never heard a racist comment by a Halifax fan and I've been to most of the fax v rovers games since the 70's. Abuse of officials- not on the same scale as the FGR players at Prenton park this season. Abuse of opposition is a tradition, I've always took it in the right way and laughed it off.
They will be missed and I wish their long suffering support the best. It's not easy following a shite football team year in, year out.

Must really hurt Chris to see the respect our Football League brothers have for us and realise that no one is buying his lies.

Rather go to Halifax than Nailsworth if I could next season to be honest. Bit more going on there really.

Plus it would be an easy three points.

Suppose.

But at Halifax I'm sipping a nice pint pre-match instead of waiting for a bus outside Stroud Vue waiting for a bus to the village. Feels like backward land to be honest around your parts.

Mind you, you do have a nice collection of llama's to pat on the head in the field just up the road, that was nice. Pro's and cons....

Any real football fan can't help but love The Shay, it's a proper football ground, built to host REAL football played by REAL football teams. One thing I can tell you, no Tin Potter will ever see The Shay bouncing.:£:£:£

The Shay is a good ground, far too big but still good. I was one of the loons who went up there for the FA Trophy game in midweek a few years back.

The Shay was brilliant last season. Halifax, 3-0 down to a Woking side that had their lost four and won once in seven, started knocking it around their back five in their own half as the home support boo'd and walked out, with the away fans in uncontrollable fits of laughter. Class. One of the best moments from last season.

Any ground that isn't full to capacity is "too big". The Shay's held nearly 40,000 in the past, it was probably too small that day and yes, there are Town fans still alive who were there :ds:

Halifax are twice the club that FGR are, a traditional stadium and working class fanbase to match. Forest Green have none of that.

But we have 126 years of unbroken history. They have 8. They let their club die.

We are still the same club as when we started. They are a reformed tribute to a dead club.

History? Ha. All those years, and what do you have to show for it? An FA Vase in 1982. You're in no position to lecture anyone about history.

That's not the most robust basis on which to show Halifax's superiority against FGR's. After all, what have both versions of 'Fax won in their histories?

Yeah, OK, fair point! But it wasn't me who brought 'history' up.

You have to sink very low to even be in contention for those throphies. The original Halifax spent over 40 years in tier 3 and the FCHT just won the FA Trophy.

Only thanks to our Jim, who almost kept them up from an impossible position, but is still a muppet according to Doc, the resident village idiot.

Discounting county cups which are the Mickiest Mousiest of all trophies, I make that 10 in 126 years, or less than 1 per decade, while we're already on 3 in 8. Not that we count anything won at these levels. We played at Villa Park in the League and have an unbroken history as far back as 1911. See the FA for further details. We've beaten First division opposition 3 times in the FA Cup including the most expensive group of footballers ever assembled anywhere in the world up to that time. Oh and we knocked Manchester United out of the Watney Cup 3 years after they were champions of Europe.

Thanks for the tap-in. I declare a mismatch. Now piss off and get back to sucking on Swampy's dick . :ds:

What a very unpleasant comment to make.
Yes you might have had a more glorious past than some other clubs but at the moment Halifax are in the Northern League with piss poor attendances. Less, I might add, than the village club at top of hill.
And it is the here and today that matters.
The future looks brighter for us tinpotters than your REAL football club.
BTW Mr Vince is happily married to a very beautiful wife.
