We will only get worse and worse under these new ridiculous BPL self serving academy camps.

to bring on some seriousness:

1. England have won the bid to host the U 17 European Championship in 2018.

2. the Elite round will start this month. in the past only the winners of this groups were qualified for the Euros but from this season on they have extended the Euro from 8 to 16 teams so also the runners- up will qualify.

England will host Norway ( 21th in Burton) Romania 26th also in Burton) and Slovenia (23th in Chesterfield)

Scotland has also good chances to qualify in a group which includes Hungary(22nd), Bosnia (20th) and the Czechs(25th)

same for Wales vs Russia (21th) Austria (23th) and Iceland (26th)

the elite round kicked-off today. there were wins for Scotland (2:0 vs Bosnia), England (3:1 vs Norway) and Germany (3:0 vs Slovakia) while Wales achieved a very respectable draw away from home vs Russia.

England (3:0 at halftime vs Slovenia) and Germany are through and are qualified for the euros. Scotland (vs the czechs) and Ireland ( vs Poland) need a draw in the last match to qualify and Wales need to beat Iceland 4:0 or higher and Austria has to beat Russia to also make it for them possible

already qualified are:

England
Germany
Belgium
Netherlands
Austria
France
Croatia
Italy
Bulgaria (hosts)

I was looking for this on my Sky planner over the weekend. They don't show highlights of many matches do they?

We're destroying Scotland 5-0 with most of the second half remaining. Will give England/Italy a watch next.

It was not a great watch. Was quite disappointed by the Italians negativity. They seemed to have the players to pass the ball around but they just stood there with 2 banks of 4 waiting for something to happen. Shame as both sides looked to have lively players which could have made for a good game. I suppose the conditions didn't help either.

I did learn that an U17 game lasts 80 minutes and not 90 though.

Devolved into a very British sort of game but Edwards scored a nice winner against Ireland.

He had to be up in the morning to sit a GCSE exam too :surr:

England lose the quarter final with Russia to a goal that didn't seem to have crossed the line. We were much the better side but suffered from having no strikers up to par. Disappointing but if the aim to to get one or two from each age-group up to senior level then the potential is definitely there with Willock, Oxford, Collinge, Dasilva and especially Edwards. Now for a play-off game with Spain for a place in the U17 World Cup, can't say I'm particularly confident...

Desperately need to find someone who can score between now and the U17 World Cup. I would like to see Yan Dhanda given a chance up there. There was some great link up play between him and Marcus Edwards in one of the earlier friendly tournaments.

the game vs Guinea ended 1:1. Hinds gave England the lead after a hour and Guinea equalized 15 minures later.

Its not my fault Steven ;)

Koreas has beaten Brazil in Englands group (1:0) for sure a Kim scored that goal.

Germany will play Australia today in a really though group with Argentina and Mexico
