Anyone else off to this on Friday? Suppose there will be a few southerners and Cap chasing away members going.

I am in the latter, decided to make one as 2 caps could be important when it comes to getting tickets for France next year so making the trek down.

Suppose we should roll them over - please to see the game is sold out too

Is it really sold out?

I thought we'd struggle to sell 60,000 for a game against Lithuania.

Going, I really don't know why, my only real motivation is that I haven't missed an England home game since euro 2012, so might as well keep that record up for as long as possible

After thinking about it, just because the game is sold-out doesn't mean we'll be playing infront of a full-house on Friday night.

With Sturridge out, will Kane start? Play Rooney off him maybe.

I dont think il ever watch england at wembley again just do all the away games instead. And as for paying £75 to be in that shitty travel club and all the bollox that goes with it fuck that. Iv never failed to get a ticket yet at an away game and also if you want to get in the england end its possible 95% of the time.

Right decision to not start Kane I think. Yes, I get its Lithuania, a pretty simple game which we will win comfortably. But Kane is still only in his first decent season, has no top level experience in European competitions and no senior England experience. Risky to throw him in in a competitive game. Welbeck and Sterling supporting Rooney works fine for me, as does Carrick, Henderson and Delph in midfield. Carrick playing should allow Henderson and Delph to get forward and support the strikers.

Also pleased to see Clyne starting at RB, hopefully we never see Johnson or Walker in an England team ever again.

He's the top scorer in the Premier League. It's more than a little bit of form..

Crazy that you start with play the player in form especially given the opposition. But that's England for you we hate to try anything slightly different, incredibly predictable.

'We've got a group of players in place who have done very well for us' - Roy Hodgson Pre-Match..

Unbelievable.

How is it risky? People seem to think international football is some kind of mythical beast that should be feared and respected. Fuck it, we're playing Lithuania ffs. Throw him in and he'll probably end up scoring a hat trick.

I'm completely with you GG in respect of International football is not a mythical beast etc.

However, I'd actually throw him in against Italy in the friendly to see how he copes with a top drawer team. I don't mind Roy playing his favourites tonight as providing we get the points, it's not a big deal how many we score. I'd rather see 1-2 new faces in against a better side to see how they cope.

Rooney hits the inside of the post within 4 minutes - should score.

Shit strikers like Welbeck have a tendency to do well for England, i.e Crouch and I even remember Vassel having a little purple patch. Hodgson is a very conservative manager but hopefully Kane will come on and give him no choice.

Welbeck isn't as bad as people make out - he was poor when being played out of position at United, but being played down the middle at Arsenal, he looks much, much better.

You know as well as me friendlies can be a joke Lee. It's unlikely we'll be facing Italy's strongest side and we'll be making wholesale changes ourselves, which won't help. I'd rather he was playing as the focal point of our strongest side tonight and linking up with Rooney, Sterling, Henderson etc. Plus, even though it's Lithuania we're playing tonight and not Italy, qualifiers are the games that matter right now.

Reckon there was a foul in the build-up by Sterling to be fair.

The way we play does my head in at times. We're one-nil up, why are we making high risk one touch passes for no reason? If there isn't an obvious ball and we have to go backwards before building forwards again, so what? Why risk giving the ball away?

If anything, isn't the time to try the more risky stuff in this sort of game? I'd get more annoyed at some of these flicks and one touch stuff if it was 0-0 or on Tuesday against a better team that will punish the mistakes.
