I've missed a couple completely recently in Zagorakis, the crossword and the letters I think.

Hence why we are in such a mess

He must be busy. I hope he contributes in the second half of the game. It's not the same without an impending meltdown!

In all seriousness am on 12:30-21:00 shift at work this week so apologies to my teammates.

Couldn't even get on as stuck on a fucking mindnumbing conference call.

Good job the Greeks haven't suffered any collapses in their history so we should keep going strong.

I bet you were in your aisles when you saw the Dacourt picture. I thought it was a young Anelka btw, so would have been no use to our team even if I had been around.

Felt guilty for missing another task, then upon seeing those pictures realised that I didn't recognise any of those people anyway so it wouldn't have made any difference

Which round is the video game quiz? I can do that one.

The 4th advantage task is actually the one that has nothing to do with football so you'll be suited to that one!

Scenario U I make it:

Glushakov (80' minutes) – Russian Prem
Weiss (32' minutes) – Qatar Stars League
Hamsik (45' minutes) – Serie A
Griezmann – La Liga
Payet - Prem
Stancu (18' minutes pen) – Turkish Super Lig
Mehmedi (57' minutes) - Bundesliga
McAuley (49' minutes) Prem [2]
McGinn (90'+6 minutes) Scot Prem
Bale – La Liga [2]
Sturridge – Prem [3]
Vardy – Prem [4]
Eder – Serie A [2]

So Prem leads the way by 2 at this point.

Mr Tonberry brainwashed into believing the myth of pot 2 :err:

I can't agree with either of those two you're suggesting, Magic. There hasn't been a single game in the tournament so far that has had 3 goals, let alone 4 and the nature of third place going through means I don't see this trend bucking in round 2.

And which team do you see coming from behind to win? Looking at those fixtures, I don't see any of them. I do think Slovakia and Iceland have a good chance of winning their matches, though.

Well done to Deschamps who have seen all of their scenarios come in. Not much more they could have done really. They'll have to hope those below them fail although they're guaranteed to finish above Casillas so will definitely pick up at least their first point of the competition here.

3 more games tomorrow. An Ireland win or draw would change things as would a goal in the opening few minutes. Looking very good for Olsen though.

Next game week should be up in the hour, I've just got to do a bit of prep.

Deschamps played it a bit too safe though. Should have tried a few higher scoring scenarios. Well played though.

Game week 3 - Betting

Time to put your money where your mouth is....

What?
This week's game is all about betting on matchday 3. Each team will be given an amount to virtual bet with (depending on how you did in the advantage task).

You will be sent photographs of several betting markets. You can choose to bet on whatever you want. You might decide to splash the entire stake on 1 bet on you might feel more comfortable splitting your stake on several bets.

Advantages
Team Gullit and Team Zagorakis get £10 to bet with.
Team Olsen get £7 to bet with.
Team Deschamps get £6 to bet with.
Team Casillas get £5 to bet with.
Team Klinsmann get £4 to bet with.

How to bet?
You are only allowed to bet in 50p installments. For instance, you can bet 50p, £1, £1.50, £2, £2,50 etc but you can't bet £2.20 for example. It has to be in 50p installments.

50p is the lowest bet you can place and the amount you have been given is the highest obviously.

Odds?
Normally I use fractions when betting but on this occasion, I'll be using decimal odds as it will make the maths easier.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with decimal odds, you basically multiply your stake by the odds. So if you put £2 on odds of 4.50, you will win £9.

Bets

All of the possible bets you can make are inside these spoiler tags...

Home, Draw or Away?
Bets%201.jpg

(please ignore the games on Saturday 18th June)

Win the group, qualify or not qualify?
Bets%202.jpg

(note: group D-F will be posted at the conclusion of matchday 2)

Bottom of the group?

To qualify or not to qualify?

Over or under 2.5 goals

Both teams to score?

To enter...
You need to bold your bets in your PM before deadline, which is......

Deadline is Sunday 8PM.

Thought about a couple of the higher ones but have many come off yet?

The France result ruined us..
