Perfect example of why Rooney is wasted at CF. Doesn't touch the ball, gets upset, drops deep to get said ball to play it forward to... no one. Mind you he's probably doing a better job than RvP or Falcao (which is shocking).
Everton have simply done a Fellaini plan with Barry nullifying him. Works a treat and the rest just follows. Very few chances in the game (Howard has had nothing to do) but Everton have taken them well.
Get Falcao/RvP and Januzaj on the pitch in the second half. Mata has been quite shite.

To be fair there is more potential for tricky ties in the qualifying rounds these days. We could have drawn Bilbao or Lille this season, and Besiktas wasn't exactly a walk in the park. There is a lot of money riding on two games.

You are right but I'm not sure that is the sort of situation to motivate a team at this stage of the season. Going for the title, the difference between Europa and CL (directly) or avoiding the drop are a different kettle of fish.

Deserved win for Everton, we didn't turn up at all. I was hoping we'd finish the season strongly because our form has been great lately but if today is anything to go by it looks like we are going to fizzle out.
